    Mutiple Account Abuse

Creating multiple accounts to push one main account is a very common practice in browser games, and I am curious about how it will be dealt with.

Free trading and the ability to send gifts are just begging to be abused, and I see nothing to prevent this (or any other multi account related abuse for that matter) from happening.

I'd like to know how this is being dealt with too.

Some guys were talking in chat- I think they hinted at having 8 other accounts? I brought this up in global but nobody seemed to understand what I was getting at: why do you feel the need to gain levels and land so quickly when there's no immediate threat? You never stand to lose anything you've created. I know, I know, pvp is somewhere on the horizon. PVP might be implemented tomorrow morning... or six months from now. There's also a chance all our accounts could be wiped. I simply can't believe some people are stressing so hard over a game so casual it could be called austere, nearly devoid of any real gameplay at all. (I hope I don't have to explain what I mean by this.)

Regardless, I'm disappointed rather than feeling angry or cheated. Even though I consider myself somewhat of a lurker, I held the community (especially certain players) in a higher regard than this. I can't stand cheating and cheaters, personally, and I had kicked a few people from my guild in another game when they revealed they had multi accounts. I guess what I think doesn't matter though- the thousands of recruits will have taken over my town no matter what whenever PVP shows up.

    How about multiple households?

I have a question about this in off topic that did not get much attention but it means a lot to me. My BF and I live in the same household which is really no ones concern unless they try to create a problem with multiple accounts. I will be keeping and using my account a lot, I will be using fourms a lot, my BF not as much, but I still want him to be able to have an account so we can play together when we can. If they start blocking accounts because of ISPs what about Brothers/Brothers, B/S, H/Wives etc.

Agreed with other posts. If you need cheat to win then go play single player.

This was something I had discussed with some rl friends too, that you could possibly make several accounts to do nothing but fish and bake breads to make yourself a permanent buffing mule. Personally I don't feel like exploiting, but the ability to do so is probably too big of a draw for a some people.
When life gives you lemons? Don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your **** lemons! What am I supposed to do with these!
On hiatus from the game currently.

As per Section 4.4 of the Terms of Use you agreed to to play the game:

4.4 You shall only be permitted to open and use one Account. The opening of multiple Accounts (“multi-accounts”) is prohibited. Any violation shall entitle us to terminate immediately without notice (see section 8.4).
8.4 Immediate termination shall be possible without the need for prior warning in the event of serious violations. A serious violation is a violation which makes it unreasonable for us to remain bound by the contract. We generally cannot reasonably be expected to remain bound by the contract in the following cases:
As by the result multiple accounts by one user is considered a serious violation.

The thing is for Bloodmoon, generally speaking the behavior of someone with multiple accounts to one person is uniquely different then multiple accounts from the same household would exhibit. So there is not likely a chance of risk in that case. Sometimes this can be skewed, but again generally the actual habits are quite different between the two scenarios.

But the thing is we gotta do IP check and prohibited accounts of same IP interact with each other. But i rather doubt it will implemented. So Ban ! Ban them all !!

Not really, I've worked on a few mmo front end databases, and what is commonly used to set off flags, is the tracking of resource distribution if several or even just two accounts appear to fall within the bounds of the estimated issue threshold, they get a look at, after looking at the users logs you can pretty much observe the flow of resources from mules and multi-accounts.

I think we all know better than to whole heartedly trust multi-account hunters and IP bans.
Reality is that they can't check everyone, and cheaters pop up much faster than moderators can whittle them down.

The solution to multi-account is not the ban hammer, but the implementation of trade restrictions (such as prohibition of lopsided trades and the removal of "gift" options).

Multiple accounts are frowned upon as Silvanoshei posted the terms of use, please be smart and make the right decision.
