Serious need for a warning before mines run out.

There really needs to be some kind of in the game warning before a mine or any resource runs out. It would be nice to be able to have your Geo out looking for the new mine before the old one runs out. I came back after the loooong shut down to find all my copper mines down, I am out of copper and bronze, my smelters are all out, no weaons being made, tool makers are not producing. This happens with any mine that goes down without warning and is a chain reaction of production going down. It would be nice if there was something showing where the Geo finds a new deposit and not have to hunt all over the board for the find.

I warn you to keep track of your mines. I warn you to rebuild them before you log of for any significant amount of time.

I am talking about an in the game type of warning. We should not have to keep track of every mine and resource in the game when an auto in the game warning would be easy to install. I am playing like all get go to try and get everything back up and running again.

ideally what Ubi soft wants you to do is buy the mine reloading items with RMT. as it will add X amount of resources to each mine node per item. i think its like 500+ resources.

while i agree a ingame notification would be nice, there is a small alert via the news tab, that tells you a mine is or almost empty. best to monitor you resource chains daily to keep from running out.

though personally i kinda wish the geo had an option that was to send them out to find bonus resources in the mine like "search deeper in the mine" then they go and search a mine of your choice to find more supplies. even if its 0-100 more stock it would be great. could make it take 30-60minutes to do that (there by making the gem item a better deal, but still giving non-gem buyers an option too)

I think thats all part of balancing your economy is resource management and keeping tabs on it, as we all know by now thats the focal point for this game early on anyways and being efficient. I would like a hud for overall buildings or hourly resources taken in as well as your idea Bloodmoon, but I look at this aspect as part of the game and making it my own responsibility as I use notepad and keep track of my hourly resources etc and balance my economy on a daily basis making changes as I see fit.

This is why they have a beta testing to get ideas on how to make the game better and more fun, not to make the game harder and work. This is a come back to it browser game not a stay with it all the time for hours game.

I agree completely. It's good to see now that I consistently get a tally of resources on mouse over with the mines, but getting a pop up at like 25% would be super great. I checked my Masons this morning and they were all sitting around having a smoke and I was like "T__T Why would you do that to me!"

I don't know about warning you when a mine is near depletion- I feel it takes away from the gameplay the more reminders and accommodations we're granted. What I would like, in such a notification's stead, is a button with a function similar to that employed in a full RTS. A button, like ctrl or alt, that allows you to see the values for every manufactory and production facility at a glance. Sure, I can mouse-over each and every building or click on every building type, but with such a button I'd never forget to examine every inch of my village, which can be described now as "sprawling".

Also, before anybody says, yes I know it would be difficult to implement the function I describe because the game runs in a browser.

Well they do have hotkeys for zooming in and out so I dont see how it would be that difficult for them to do hfbrooklyn and I think thats a great idea.

I'm being sincere here so don't take my words as offensive. This type of game is a civ building game. A euro style worker placement and micro management game. The thing that will separate weaker players from stronger players is there ability to effectively micro manage. Giving people warnings and alerts for things that you as ruler of your empire should be paying attention to removes a responsibility that is part of the game play mechanic and inherent in all games like this.
