Words That Dont Need to be Censored in English

Lets get a list of things that should probably be removed from censoring for the NA.

SS - English: Screenshot - German: **** Organization
88 - English: Number - German: Heil Hitler

Who uses those words for that meaning in NA though, Cailrue? Most of use didn't know why they were even censored til we wiki'd it. lol

    Another Word:

    English: Mista - German: ????

first off no one knows who uses them so being careful rather than incite an issue is safer
second mista has no german counterpart so there is no reason to censor it or even discuss it
third if there are words that need to be censored let the officials from the game give a guideline for them if a player is interested in a particular word then asking is all that is needed and not a full discussion on a forum

The problem is they just copied and pasted from the EU list so we get weird censoring like mista we have a GM called Mistapink we can't even say their name cause of the censor. I'm not sure what your thinking this thread is for but I'm just trying to build a list of the silly ones that we got from EU that the mods should think about removing. More so there are words that should probably be censored that aren't.

Puff is also censored. I found that odd since some truly vulgar words go through the filters with ease. Mistake and any word beginning with Mista for that matter is censored, as Aurorah just stated. And of course, rival games will be filtered as they always are in online games...AoE for example
For Sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

    censoring words

    Aurorah

you are misinterpreting what i have stated twice
as i have said the terms you suggested to be removed can not and would do no good if removed because they are considered in connection with events in history that can never be repeated
you said you did not know why they were being censored until you searched for them, that is proof you do not understand their significance and therefore this idea to remove them from censor is futile discussing the idea of a list and proposing would lead no where as this has
do you know what the actual event in history i was referring to, if you went to school no doubt you would have learned it

this is in no way an attempt to undermine your idea or you directly but i see no logic to the removal of proposed phrases in german
i can with full authority tell you that they should always be censored because of their direct link to the dark event of european history
and i am from europe and learned in the US about the dark event
once again i do not mean to be mean or unfair to you in anyway

why are we debating world history in a video game??? most gamers will agree SS is used as an abbreviation for screenshot. only retards use it for hate-mongering. and the ones that do tend to be castrated by the gaming community.. plus most game mods tend to wind up banning them later on as nothing but annoyances.

yes 1939-1945 is a less then happy period for people. but its in the past, why not leave it there. i personally see no reason to continue to beat a dead horse over history. learn it, understand it, respect it and move on... latching on to the past will prevent you from growing beyond it and forever being lead around by it.

from my gaming experience the people who use history based groups that are viewed as a undesired group.. do so with the intent to "troll" players or cause problems.

They're great to be censored in EU where that is still a very sensitive subject, but in NA as Sigmar has said gamers have completely different views of these words, most not knowing these meanings, and if they do end up getting used for that meaning in the NA that's where mods come in to play. I'm not saying remove it from EU version of the game too just the NA version.

its not that NA players dont know the meaning or history of the national socialist party of germany or what the SS means in relation to german military groups/units or their history. most use them simply to cause problems. the mature community do not use them to cause offense or problems, they are used as abbreviations nothing more.

alot of people get overly offended for no reason or read stuff out of context..

while alot of "children" will use SS to mean the "Schutzstaffel" (i actually had to look up how to spell it X_X) they do so to anger or annoy people. and they are the ones most people add to their ignore lists :/

im pretty sure you will find, anyone who is spreading hate topics or comments will wind up being "ignored" by pretty much everyone on the forums or ingame pretty quickly.
