I am level 23 and thinking to start my own gold production.

    Here's my Formula:

300 Gold Mine Buffed = 600 Ore (12 minutes production time)
    2 Ores when buffed

600 Gold Ore Smelter Buffed = 600 Bar (12 minutes production time)
    2 Ores = 2 Bars when buffed

600 Gold Bar Coinage Buffed = 300 Gold Coins. (24 minutes production time)
    40 Gold Bar = 10gc not buffed
    400 Gold Bar = 100gc not buffed
600 Gold Bar = 150gc not buffed (600 Gold Bars when you kept buffing your Mines and Smelters)

    Grand finale:
    600 Gold Bar = 300gc Buffed.

Everything's Based on level 1 Gold mines, Gold Smelters and Coinages.
A Gold Mine Costs 150gc to run.
    Approx. of 20 Baskets(maybe less) - 120 gc

Correct me if im wrong guys. My head hurts lol.

    Summary:

    Not Buffed:

Gold Mine: (12 Minutes Production Time)
    300 Gold Mine = 300 Ore

Gold Smelter: (12 Minute Production Time)
    300 Ore = 150 Bars

    Coinage: (24 Minute Production Time)
    150 Bars = 37.5 Gold Coins

    Buffed:

    Gold Mine:
    300 Gold Mine = 600 Ore

    Gold Smelter:
    600 Ore = 600 Bar

    Coinage:
    600 Bar = 300 Gold Coins.

There's a very big difference when your gold production chain is not buffed.

i disagree with you just today i sold 10k bow at 11 gc a stack and made 300 coins and i can make 25 baskets in 2 days and that is another 150 coins so today i could easily make 900 coins thru trade (i have 100 baskets) so trade is porbably the est way to go but both would be even better lol

Yep, trading is prolly the best way to earn gcs. I see the gold production chain as a secondary income for me. lol

i run a level 4 coinage + gold smelter and level 5 mine. i have never bought parrots with gems or coins or gold deposits. my mine currently has around 8k of ore in it all from adventure deposits. i don't run this 24/7 i sleep them when i can't be on for it's unbuffing time but it brings in decent coin when i do and on top of trading + selling lootspots it is an income.

So I got into gold when I reached level 23 and without using gems gold production was an important part of my game by level 26. The question is producing an overall production strategy that works. An important thing to remember is that bronze, iron, steel and gold are all demanding coal, so coal production- and what industry you develop that need coal is going to be a major concern. In Zues I had already committed to some iron sword production by the time I figured this out so I decided to only attempt to be sufficient in Iron swords and skip gold smelting, while focusing on large scale coal production. I was able to trade Gold ore and coal for gold bars, the coin them myself. My iron smelting outproduced my iron swords so I build up a surplus of bars to trade for granite to upgrade my coinage. At Level 33 I was saving up gems for building permits, planning for one to go to gold smelting, when Zues went down. In Ares I am going to try a different path, delaying iron sword production further and attempting to move into gold smelting sooner.

Weirdone Your prices are way inflated!
    Hardwood Planks 9-10gc
    Marble 12gc
    Tools: 10gc
    Total: 35+42+37.5= 114.5gc

Gold chains are most definatly worth: I recently got 4x lvl 2 smelters and 4x lvl 2 coinages. I get them buffed them before bed and before work. Produces about 600gc a day. I buy ore at 90-100gc for a stack.

TO afford these mines tho, I sold LOTS of HWP. Renewable resource with no planting or anything and sells fast and well. Chains are a fantastic thing, but they must be buffed. I also do recommend upgrading, at least to lvl 2 as it doubles production of each building and only requires 1 basket, instead of 2. In long run, works out.

Agreed, I did this and was more trouble than it was worth untill my economy grew to support it. I can harly claim I am huge (in regards to the game anyway ) but untill you can produce 300gc + daily min, not worth it.

I am considering this. I already make 85-90,000 coal per day. It sells out without any efforts.
the next Production I wanna do is bread. If parrots become too difficult to buy from gem sellers, then my gold line
    may end up Bread chains.

the only thing that keeps supply of gold deposits running is rampant cheating. It's obvious. Virtually everyone spamming g-1 offering to pay 200+ gp for parrots is a cheater and deserves permanent ban. But that also provides constant stream of revenue for BB, so, because conflict of interest, double placing of deposits wont be addressed....
