Same problem on Safari.
Same problem on Safari.
Thanks hope it works for you.
Well, I tried your suggestion, and no luck... made no difference at all...
My cookies, and cache were cleared earlier as well because of another problem which you cleared up for me BB_Mistapink... but setting the site to trusted just made a popup window appear whenever I had to switch back to the login page.
The timeouts are still happening and it still isn't remembering my info.
Well I can tell you I use Firefox 7.01 at both work and home and it remembers my login information at both locations at work I use windows 7 and home I use XP, I doubt it has anything to do with the OS and is more your browser. Do you use any internet security software that could be keeping your computer from remembering this information?
No, I don't.... it remembers my info on other sites no problem... just here there's a problem... it has something to do with the uplay login thing... it isn't the same as other sites.
I've used both Firefox and IE8, and both have this issue. Although presently I am using IE8 simply because of how buggy the fullscreen mode is on it for this game.
I'll try updating firefox and try again with it and see maybe if that makes any difference....
Again, I'll keep you posted.
EDIT: Well, I updated Firefox to 7.01, but to my dismay it didn't fix the problem.
If I just close the browser and not log out properly, I can still open up a new browser and I'm still logged in... but if I click logout, and then close browser, reopen, and then enter my name, my password doesn't automatically show up in the box like it does for other sites.
As for the timeout issue, I'd need to stay logged in long enough to see if I get timed out and see if it remembers me then... but... I can't stand the fullscreen bug issue...
I like running in fullscreen cause I can see more without those bars above and below... in Firefox, it just doesn't work... I hit f11... it does nothing, and if I select fullscreen from the menu, it works only partially now... the task bar below remains and in fact cuts off part of the in game menu below where your friends are. Subsequently, if I move the mouse to the top of the screen, the firefox toolbar section reappears, but then doesn't disappear when I move the mouse away...
This makes using Firefox completely useless at the moment.
Fullscreen mode works perfectly in IE8... but again, the login problem still there...
TBH it doesn't really bother me at all.... I'm not actually complaining about this, just rather that I feel this might be an issue other people may have a problem with.
Yeah, the timeouts are a little annoying, and I'd hope it does get resolved, but having to enter my info each time doesn't bother me much at all, and would bother me less if I wasn't timing out so often lol. :P

I guess I can understand why you wouldn't want to use Firefox, since I don't play the game full screen it doesn't bother me at all. At this point I'm stumped as to any more suggestions on this, I know your not complaining about it and thank you, but I do want to help you solve the issue. I will ask BB_MrGrimm to get in on this one he might have some ideas that could help you out in this matter but that wont be until Monday, my apologies in advance.
Sorry to hear that you are having some trouble with the log in portion of the game.
Something I want you to confirm for me is if FireFox is indeed saving the password or not.
To make sure of this simply click on "Tools" go to "options". Once you are on the options window click on the "Security" tab. There should be an option on this tab now that says "Saved Passwords...", click on this option and it will bring up another window with a list of websites and usersnames. Scroll through this list and locate the one that shows "www.castleempireonline.com", it should show your user name/log in email address. If this is not showing up click on show passwords, this should expand your list.
If it is not showing your username/log in email address, or the website at all, this means that the password and username is not saved. If this is the case make sure the "Remember Passwords For Sites" is checked. If it is checked, simply uncheck it and then check it again, click apply then try to log in. When FireFox prompts you to save the password click on the "save password option".
