List of definitions for Castle EmpireWord Definitions:
Avatar: The icon, cartoon or picture you select at the beginning of the game to represent your account. This cannot be changed.
Buffs: A buff is a food item that you create in the Provision's house. When created it will be located in your star menu. You place it on a building in order to double the production rate (1 item every 4 minutes becomes 2 items ever 4 minutes). It does not use up more raw materials. Different items will give different durations of buffs. If you use an item on a friends building, the duration is increased by 150% (6 hour buff becomes a 9 hour buff).
fish plate (plate): 30 minutes
solid sandwich (sammies, sammich, sandwich): 2 hours
aunt irma's gift basket(basket): 6 hours
Daily Bonus: (Level 5 and above)
•For each day that you log in to the game, you receive a 'Bonus'.
•This bonus gets bigger as the number of consecutive days that you log in increases. It is based off level and can consists of resources such as swords, settlers, buffs, exotic fruits etc.
•If you log in 7 days in a row, you will receive 45 gems on the 7th day. If you miss one day, it starts over from the beginning.
Exchange Rates: The value of one resource item compared to another. This rate is not fixed, it is set by players and will change accordingly.
Free Buffs: This refers to a friend coming to your island and buffing your buildings without and agreement to exchange. While there is no obligation to return the favor, if you can it is always nice to do so.
Guild: A group of players who join together for adventures, buffs, chat, etc. While there are no actual "benefits" to joining a guild, if you get in a good one you will find many rewards. If a guild is not providing assistance through mutual buff exchanges, sharing of adventures, or at least a group of people who enjoy chatting together, it isn't worth being in!
HotKeys: •With W, A, S and D or the arrow keys you can scroll
•The numbers on the numpad let you jump to the sectors
•with H you can jump to your city hall
•with P you can jump to your Provision House
•with B you can jump to your Barracks
Island: Your private land, which is divided into 9 sections. Every players land starts out looking the same.
Roads: Roads can be placed on your island if you choose, however they are not necessary and do not change the gameplay. Many people use roads to help plan out their island.
Settlers: Your workers.
Idle settlers are the ones you have available to occupy new buildings or create military.
Working settlers are ones that currently occupy buildings or are already assigned military positions.
Population Limit: The maximum number of settlers you can have. To increase this you need to build residence (adds 10, plus 10 for each upgrade), or noble residence(adds 30, plus 10 for each upgrade) to increase maximum.
Trade: This can refer to the Trade tab, which shows up after level 17, once you have built a branch office. It can also refer to a private transaction between two players (who have to be friends). You still need a branch office to do this type of transaction. All resource items can be traded in the trade tab. Adventures can only be traded with a private transaction. Items purchased in the store cannot be traded between players.
Trading Buffs: Trading buffs is an agreement between 2 players (again they have to be friends in order to trade) to buff each other's buildings. Most of the time players will let you know what buildings they want you to buff.
Troll: A player who spends more time harassing or annoying other players than they do playing the game. They tend to enjoy making global chat miserable for everyone in general.
Trollop: This is a pet name used for certain players. Trollops are well loved by everyone!!
