I'm going to be honest here: I think the "dark buff" is a monumentally bad idea. With this game, it is critically important to have viable production chains. One "mis-fired" de-buff (even from a friend) can seriously hurt the recipient of that de-buff, especially if that recipient is away from this game for any extended period of time. Since production is so important in this game, perhaps there should be a way to "opt out" of these kinds of buffs? I can just see major arguments and flame-wars erupting in the chat rooms of people yelling, and accusing at each other of tactical de-buffs as cruel practical jokes.

On the flip-side, I think the pumpkin-as-currency is a good idea. Permanent buildings and character types would be rather cool. However, this aspect depends on how quickly the pumpkins can be harvested.

Very cool, I have been highly anticipating this(esp the grim reaper general and seeders)!!

I have 3 questions tho:

1) The original post by you Kate says the event runs until November 10th yet on your FAQ post it keeps asking about the date of November 24th, just want clarification if the contest does indeed run only until 11/10 or why the 24th is of significance?

2) Your 1st post at the top lists that Zombie buffs do 3x production for 3 hours but if you scroll down further where it shows the Zombie buff costs 80 pumpkins it says it will do 4x for 12 hours, so which one is it or are there 2 different Zombie buffs?

3) Again with the Mr. Meyers buff it initially is listed as increasing barracks speed 4x for 1 hour but further down in the post where it shows his pumpkin cost of 20 it says it does 4x speed on the barracks for 4 hours?

Maybe I'm just crosseyed but I wanted to be sure which one is accurate or if there is indeed 2 different buff types for each. Thanks

Just wanted to clarify as I too initially thought this was a bad idea until I reread it. The whole point is more interaction with your friends, NO friend should blindly be putting the darkness buff on and if they do I'd be quick to unfriend them. You coordinate with a friend if you have a light buff as thats the only way a light buff can work and if you purchase both they are cheaper than the other buffs so its a matter of getting more involved with friends and working together.

I'm sure this may lead to some problems but if someone is investing in darkness buffs just to hurt a friends production it doesnt make much sense to waste them on that and be isolated as well as miss out on utilizing the pumpkins to swap darkness/light buffs as well as seeders and the grim reaper general.
