Geologist Timers not working.

The timers for only my geologists, it does not happen with my explorers, at times pause or completely reset. Just now they were to be finishing a 4h stint for gold, I log in and they both read 3h 59m. At other times I log back in to find them paused at the point where I logged out previously. After starting to think something was wrong about a week ago I have tried to keep track and this happens at least 1-2 times a day now.

I noticed this problem with my geologist today. Sent him out for some marble, closed the window and switched to another game for about twenty minutes to wait for him, came back to castle empire and his timer had paused while I was away from the game. Maybe he took a nap under a tree while the boss wasn't watching?...
Edit: Happened again today in a search for coal. I logged out wait for him to search for a deposit, and logged in later at a time when he should have been done searching for coal. Instead the geologist's timer appeared to have reset, with no coal deposit to be found.
