I think anyone that's a big fan of The Series would wonder why they would allow such a function in the online version. At least, that's how I feel. Allowing the function during the tutorial would allow players to gain the necessary experience without being turned-off right away, but once they become use to the game style they no longer have that function.
This is a good idea, and I feel the need to add my opinion as well. To aid the lower player, I think the ability should be available on lv.1 buildings, as long as the player is lv. 10 or below. (I'm lv 21, so it would not help me)

I completely agree with Wallstreet and apoth. Just moving buildings around will make this game to easy for new players to master, they will just copy others. The destroying and rebuilding of a building and getting minimal resources back is for you to get placement right the first time. It's to help you learn and of you get stuff better each time you move stuff it will be easier to rebuild. At lvl20 was the first time I remodeled it was quite difficult since my layout was not the best. I remodeled recently at lvl32 and it was a breeze, since I had got stuff better the first remodel it was easier to rebuild, I had everything back in one night! So moving buildings is a horrid idea, it's no good. I like it right now on the system they have it.

Allowing people to just move buildings whenever they want is a bad idea. PLayers could just place buildings without any thought to what it is they are doing since they would be able to move the building without any cost. The associated costs of have to destroy and rebuilding makes a player more careful with building placement.

This is one of those dead horse subjects. It is doubtful that moving buildings will ever be an option. I would like the capability to do it, but even I don't want to just be able to pick a building up and set it down somewhere else. That's too easy.

As I said earlier, I think if this option is implemented it should work very similar to moving the gem bought noble house, because you can move that. First you disassemble the building.. It goes into the star inventory. There should be a limit to how many buildings can be there, say.. five. Then to place it, you set it down and it builds, taking as much time as it did originally, plus whatever build time was added due to upgrading. This could also cost tools and materials, say 1/4 of the original cost. And there is still a three slot build cue. This is a lot more balanced for game play.

It would be a great deal faster to simply demolish and rebuild, at cost.. but everyone would have the ability to move a building, if they wanted to pay for the savings in material with time.

Dead horse will now be made into sausage and distributed to the masses.

Well I think "moving" anything built is rediculous and I'm against it 100%. BUT - there is always "salvage" when demolishing things.
I put an old torn couch out in front of the house, for the trash guy, a few weeks ago and the couch was gone by the time I got all the cusions out.
So I'm for tearing down an item with resource recovery; let's say 50% of it's original cost.
