If I make [accept] a trade and I don't have enough storage space for the traded item what happens? Will it go into the star menu? How long can I leave a trade offer in my mail?

I know that when a trade is declined, but you have manufactured enough of the item to refill your storehouse it will stay in your e-mail until you have the space for it. I do believe that the one time I accepted a trade but did not have the room it went to my star menu.
