    exhausted mines

Can I replenish an exhausted mine? or do I destroy the mine and look for another location?

yes you can replenish it, no need to destroy it just send out your geologist again.
I play guitar and make music and started doing some video lessons on how to play guitar, if interested visit my youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/stygiana...1?feature=mhee

Exhausted mine IS a destroyed mine. Your geologist will have to "redescover" the deposit, THEN you can rebuild the mine on top.

You can tear down a collapsed mine. The function is there. You just do not need to.

Yes, you don't get anything for demolishing the depleted mine, and it isn't neccesary either, however, if you tear it down before it expires you get back 25% of the spent resources (not counting what was spent for upgrades).

i would only upgrade copper mines...anything else uses up alot of tools AND forces u to use alot of hardwood/marble to rebuild since mine depletes faster

You will need to upgrade coal mines if you have any sort of mid-end game weaponmaking chain, not to mention gold. 300 tools to double their production is worth it if it means that you can have 3-4 weaponsmiths continually producing.
