how to trade with other players

I built a branch office as I believe I finally have enough resources to trade with others, yet there is no menu or anything with it. How do you do tradking? Why is the branch office necessary if it is just a "building" (a lot of resources IMO if you aren't successful in trading). Other aspects of the game are straight forward, but the trading process I'm not following (I probably haven't viewed the necessary file).

Once the branch office is built, a new tab will show up beside your help tab called trade. This is where you go to see current trades and have the ability to post your own.

Also, make sure when you trade, it is a fair one. Most people will try to cheat you. Ask around so you get an idea.

And another thing.. do NOT trade your gold away until you are level 20+. You need it to upgrade buildings and it is actually a really valuable resource. It's gold for crying out loud, haha.
