    Question New option needed.

I was wondering if we could add a "stockpiling" button to the Mayor's house where as say for example I didn't want fir wood to be used by any other buildings I can click fir wood and select "stockpile" and it would not allow any walkers/vendors to use this item until you unclicked "stockpile" this option would allow me to selectively manage resources as a whole. I would also like to select which walkers/vendors/shops could use X resource and how much like for example I wanted to always keep 800 stone in-stock vendors/shops/walkers would use the resource until it hits 800 then it would not use any more until it hit 801.

This would be a great addition. Especially if you over-upgrade your buildings and only run them like 6-12 hours a day to maximize efficiency, would allow you to save up the resources that you need for those production runs.

yes but the point of the game is to continuously produce isn't it? Save yourself the upgrades costs and just do the math, production should run like a plant, 24/7. You are wasting capacity by shutting down workyards.

Work towards sustainable production, don't limit it. Once you have stable production, upgrade everything in your supply chain from smallest first to biggest.

In this game inventory is only a good thing and not a bad thing. In real life inventory means money you have tied up in unfinished products that could be used elsewhere (as in save those upgrade costs).

Use this mentality to cut down on the amount of time it takes to level. And remember most real life production facilities dont "over-upgrade" anything because that is lost production time and wasted money ( spend 200gold on an upgrade and only use it half of every day? waste = 100g). Don't upgrade until needed.

Well here is how upgrading buildings is the most efficient- Buffing. You can run a weaponsmith all day at level 1, or you could choose to upgrade it to level 3 and run it with a basket for 6 hours and you would end up with far more swords/bows than the level 1 all day could produce. The higher level a building is (mostly on end of production chain buildings like weaponsmiths) the greater efficiency you can have because you need less buffs. I always choose to upgrade these when available even if it means that I don't run them all day, or in some cases like my iron sword maker, weeks on end. The capacity for the production will be there when you need it for an adventure in the future, and since they have a time constraint this can come in clutch. Surely not the only way or for the person who only wants to log in once a day but works great for me, I always know im getting the max out of the resources.
