    Sorry, oversight.
My New Years resolution is to take all non-trolls off the iggy list. You most likely got on there by continually talking to(feeding) a troll. I ignore them because they bring out the worst in me. If others keep engaging trolls, I tend to ignore them too.
So please accept the hand of peaceful coexistence. I have removed you from the list. It is my sincere hope you will send lots of coins and good wishes my way as we play the game together Jethro702.

If I told you my secret it would not be a secret. :P
No, really, my secret is 3 foresters to 2 cutters.
I have a very strong wood production, both fir and hw.
I covert a lot of stones and fir planks into tools.
I make the rest(2 Level 4 tools) and upgrade my copper mines to 5 and run them basket buffed.
No, I do not refill the copper mines. I rebuild them over and over.
Running adventures eats up a lot of recruits.
Plus I sell surplus bronze swords for 35 coins a stack.
I have 2 iron mines at level 5 and only run them buffed. They are refilled with the iron deposits I get from adventures.
I have all the coke plants from early on in the game, one recycler and probably not paying 950 gems for any more, but who knows?
I buy a lot of iron ore when I want to build a bunch of iron and steel swords.
Prior to doing a big iron purchase(25 coins per 400), (4 map frags per 400), or (400 horses per 400), i buy 20-30k of coal at 10 coins per 400 to augment my coal production.
I make a lot of hw planks and marble which I can sell.I have slowly been upgrading everything to 5, starting with foresters and farms.
My guild is an awesome group of active players who buff, buff, buff.
Oh, I do have 10 savage scouts to find lots of exotic logs for me to make planks with. They also find me a fair amount of adventure of which I sell many.
My provisions house was the first major upgrade I focused on.
My plan was never to chase XP.
My goal has been, and is, to get all my buildings up to level 5.
I honestly do not know how many of each type of building I have. I am looking forward to being able to move them so they can be grouped.
    So, no real secrets.
Just 3 foresters to 2 cutters.

Ok, first thanks for replying and letting us in on your tricks of the trade. Awesome to know some of the details here, since i'm currently in the process of upgrading buildings (since i'm close to the maximum until I purchase more building licenses) and any insight of how a later-game player's city is run is helpful. I am at 4 savage scouts and 2 normal explorers atm, do you think I should forgo buying another coal recycling plant in favor of buying more building licenses (level 35, 165 building licenses currently) or buy another savage scout with my gems? My thinking was that the recycling plant was going to be the best long term investment but now i'm wondering if that's true!

There is no better gems investment than building licences, savage scout is second.

At least we can look forward to an increased amount of options for fragments with the mystery box and more purchasable adventures!
