Fishing

I know this is a really noobish question but I've been looking around for an answer and I can't find it anywhere.
Basically, when your fish pool runs out of fish, is it better to leave your fisher where it is so that the distance to travel (and therefore production time) is longer or should you sell that fisher and build a new one?

You can build fish food in your provision house and restock the fish.
