    One-sided trading?

I have a friend who is about to start out and we are agreeing that we will co-run a guild. I would trade him a seemingly less than fair amount of hardwood and marble for gold (400 for 400) to stockpile on my account and he uses his to upgrade foresters, cutters, etc so he doesn't need to use as many building licenses. Being that gold should be worth a whole lot more, will this appear as one sided trading and get us in trouble?

It could be seen as "pushing" which is a violation of the terms of service. There is a thread you can read about it in the sticky section.

I would have thought this would be fine. Pushing is where one player, who has no interest in playing the game properly, sacrifices their game to allow the other player to grow quickly. This is a deal that benefits both players in the long run.

Trading those amounts of gold off an account that early will cripple its growth potential. I'm just saying that it could be seen as pushing as it would benefit one account over the other.

I'm not sure that would benefit both in the long run. He'd be stockpiling low level material for a long time slowing his production of anything useful in the late game. Would you be able to double your production to make up for his lack of production? I'm only asking in case you haven't actually done the calculations.

As far as getting accounts banned I'd be amazed if they banned accounts for that type of cooperation. Even if it looks bad you'd be able to explain to them your strategy. If you were on the same IP address that would be a different story though (see the thread about playing more than one account from the same IP).

I don't understand the thinking here. You need 3k gold to start a guild, and only 1 person can be a guild leader. So trading resources for coin isn't going to get you a guild house.

i think what hes trying to say is that he wants to make fake accounts....and trade all the gold you get to himself..just my opinion its done on pretty much ever game like this and i for one am glad that the devs track these things and ban accounts for doing so 8)

Hey Guys. I traded my gold and stuff to one of my higher level friends and we pooled the resources in his realm to make the guild on his account instead. By Co-run I meant work together behind the scenes even though only one guy has the title of guild leader. Anyway, LadyTerra, what the plan was to split the work between two or three of us and put the resources together in the end. And... everything worked out (phew!). I did it with a higher level friend and everything was fine. Don't worry, the new kid still has all his gold PS You were right Rantankerous, I flubbed the original numbers and it would've taken longer to make it back than I thought.
