Talar, I thought the same thing about his last sentence in his op and I agree with your ideas. They need an recruitment tab or something. I would love to be able to make private chat rooms.

I love the idea of private chat rooms, make them more easily accessible than switching globals

In Eve Online, there is a system for trade using the forums.
You would go and post WWT or WTB for GTC or Chars.

Lets be fair to everyone in chat, giant walls of text offering trades or guild recruitment have gotten out of hand. lets create a compromise policy everyone will find acceptable?
How about this example: Trading Adventures, please whisper. or, Guild Recruiting (link) or, Offering Noble House Deeds(No building licenses needed) : Whisper me please?

I hope all of us who do these kind of trades will join in and help make the chat a better experience for all.

Before you flaming trolls start up, Yes, I was one of the worst ones for spamming.
So I will be the first to really start pushing for this policy.

Hello guild leader : ), i agree something needs to be done with the heavy amount of spam and trolling that happens in general chat. Those two reasons alone are why i don't even view general chat anymore.

While I commend everyones attempts at organizing the chat channels, it just simply will not work. Most people are too lazy to have to type a simple line to join another global and as for global-1.....well I for one don't mind the advertising spam as it is preferable to the garbage and other drivel that occurs on a regular basis there. I am now forced to stare at trade tab or help tab and miss out on being able to chat with people from other guilds. I have come to a partial solution by ignoring the trolls and those that argue with the trolls, result I get trolled by non-trolls for muting "good" players and am again in trade/help tab

If you wish to talk with friends from other guilds all at once.. just whisper and ask them to switch globals.. this is great if you dont wanna have 6 different whispers and then you can introduce people to each other.
