Just wanted to see what people's opinion is as to whether the savage scout is worth the investment in gems (using 10 building deeds for 650 gems he cost 15.3 building deeds)? Other option is 800 gold for a normal Explorer (8 level 1 advanced building upgrades).
You should have some of these yes. Any sort of advanced level progress is helped greatly by the resources/adventures they can provide.

Yes they are absolutely worth it. I have 10 of them, they are 2x the speed of an explorer. I have gotten tons of treasure (expert level resources) and 6 adventures so far and I am over 100 map fragments... having the time cut from 24 hours to 12 is a huge difference. Buy 10 of them if you can.
Thanks for the input. I don't have enough gems (I can't just that much "real" money for 10), but your positive support makes having some definitely high on my "purchase" list.
My 10 have paid for themselves 100 times over.
