Flush your DNS cache, clear your browser cache, relogin.

Sometimes I really wish I knew what all this computer jargon meant.

It depends on what browser you are using. The word cache, in this case, means where your computer temporarily stores things like web pages, pictures, and some documents. Most browsers do this as a way to reduce browser lag and server load. After all, if you have the background image of a website stored in a temporary location on your hard drive, when you visit that website, you don't need to load it, so less strain on that website.

When you attempt to access something that's stored like this, it can sometimes get sort of..."clunky". This is usually why some pages take longer than they should to load, and why others may have problems showing some parts to the site (such as your chat box). By clearing it, you are removing all of the temporary files stored there, so things run quicker.

In some instances, this is more usually known as "Temporary Internet Files". Depending on your browser, you can easily clear the cache. I use Chrome, and it's simple. I haven't used IE or Firefox in a while (or any others out there that some users may current run), so I don't know off the top of my head. A simple search in any search engine for words like "Clear Browser Cache Internet Explorer" (insert your chosen browser instead of IE) will kick up many sites that have a list of instructions. This should help you with the cache.

If it is indeed the cache causing this problem, then once you relogin after clearing it, you will be fine.

Otherwise, something else is going on, and I highly suggest that you send in a support request as stated above.
