    best building setup - a possible guide

    with the new move building option coming in future updates, i wanted to see what type of layout would be the best option to take to maximize efficiency. i did a general search to look for this data on the forums but came up empty handed so i put together a simple picture detailing my findings. keep in mind that there are very few open areas where a setup like this can even be placed but if you would like to see where some areas are, feel free to add me to your friend's list and check out my island.

    it's a very simple concept that applies to most production buildings that does not require the worker to travel to another workyard. i hope this helps old and new players alike!

    this data applies to the following buildings:

    sawmills and flour mills
    coking plants
    smelters and weaponsmiths
    breweries, bakeries, and butchers
    wells
    long/bowmakers and stables
    coinage
    toolmakers

    but there's sth wrong with production time here (not ur guide, I'm talking about the system.)
    think about it, assuming all entrance to buildings r on the center of its face,
    green buildings in ur pic have to walk 1 building block.
    yellow buildings have to walk 1.5 building blocks.
    red buildings have to walk 2 building blocks. so the ratio is 2:3:4
    however, the walking time is 3:4:5.

    It think it takes 1 second to enter/exit the building.

    I always use the 9 squares structure(on the right) and i think the building production time may be subjective

    For example: i can place my farm anywhere in the lower section or in the middle section and get the same time (12min28sec) but if you place it in the upper section even with wheatfield all around i'll get a 12min36sec

    you gotta be carefull to what kind of building you put and where you put it around the storehouse because even through it looks the same, it doesn't
