Almost none of these are good deals. Just thought i would warn people, give the trade tab a try before doing anything like this.

I know many of my trades aren't the best deals in the world, but every time i put them up on the board I get plenty of responses and if they were any better I would quickly be out of stock of many of my better items.

Bobj is actually right, you should check the trade board first before coming to me. I'm not the average trader. First off, I rarely decline a trade that I've put up. If you send me 10,000 fir logs or 10,000 gold ore, I'm going to do my very best to accept every single one of them. Secondly, I'm mostly offering high end items like gold coins and exotic planks for the lowly fir log. For every item in the game, you will find that there is a range of values represented on the trade board that "connect" and make trades happen depending on everything from your perspective, i.e. buying or selling / in a hurry or willing to take your time to other factors such as the time of day or night or how well versed in castle empire's economy the player placing the trade is. From my perspective if you want to make the sorts of trades I'm offering on any consistent type of basis you have to use values that are on the lower end of that spectrum. And third, I didn't see too many other players on here offering to do provide similar services and while comments from folks like Bobj are unfortunate, they really end up amounting to a whole lot of nothing when clear examples and alternatives are not provided. Specifically Bobj, what trades of mine is the most out of line? How far off is it and are you willing to provide better deals and accept an avalanche of offers in my stead?

Thank you for standing up for me Sirroy but I'm not actually concerned with my critics as I already have many other traders who appreciate my trading services and happily send dozens of trades to me daily. I'm here merely to expand and enhance my activities as I figured out a long time ago that setting up regular trade partnerships allows both myself and my clients the freedom to focus on other more profitable trading patterns on the active marketplace.

Finally, as I ended my original post with the fact that my trade rates are not set in stone and are subject to change. That means you can contact me and negotiate a better deal for yourself!

I just don't see a need for us, as high level players with large economies to exploit new players. There is such a thing as a good trade for both parties- and maybe in certain situations that could be true for some of those trades posted there. But there are also some in the post that are 3 to 4 times the going rate on those resources in quigley's favor. Can't we as the more veteran players see the value in new and upcoming members to the game as a asset and be thankful more people are getting in to the game we love instead of trying to use them to get another 5% of a level on a day or upgrade 1 more building. Shouldn't we be trying to shepherd new players into this complicated game so that is its less daunting as possible? After all, I and i'm sure many veteran players would like to continue playing this game. And the only way we can hope to do that is to have new players not be scared away or think they got ripped off and only realize it two weeks later. Maybe I am expecting too much and there is no sacred cow in the ever-going trade war some seem to be daily engaged in. Lets call a truce and agree that trades based off getting many resources of the lower tier for a paltry amount of goods in return is not really meant to help these new players.

Lets just start with the first one. 400 fir wood logs for two gold coins. Its fairly reliable to get 5-8g for a stack of these on trade- you don't need to wait long usually either to get a bite at that price. So selling to you Is getting around 40% of fair value. The reason why this upsets me a bit more is that it is seemingly aimed dead straight at new players who have excess fir wood logs. Sure high level players like us run overages of these on occasion but I'm sure we are also the ones who are more aware of the value of these goods. Let me also say that I do understand as stated in my previous post that it is possible this could be a good deal for someone in a specific situation and only plays for 15 mins a day and never really has a full picture of the market. My only goal in posting here was to make those people who are more regular and new that this shouldn't be used as some sort of a price guide for the trades they do with others.

Bobj, I literally trade hundreds of thousands of fir logs per week at mostly 2 gold coins per stack and have been doing so for months now, I don't expect to stop anytime soon. I have no problem finding players new and old who are more then happy to make this trade, so much so that it doesn't even make sense to pay 3. Hell, even 1 gold coin per stack works if there is no competition on the board. In any case, I don't feel that this is a rip off, if anything getting 8 coins for a stack of 400 fir logs seems way off base and while I'm sure people sometimes pay that amount there is really no point for someone like myself to do so when I can easily pick up 400 coal at that rate if not slightly lower. To call my trades a rip off or whatever is really over the top considering that there really are people who put up truly ridiculous trades that make no sense at all and are really a blight on the trade system overall.

From the looks of things Bobj, you come off really out of touch with reality. I mean, come on, the screen cap in your signature area showing that you've spent hundreds of dollars on gems for this game underlines your separateness from most of the player base that simply can't spend that much real money on in game resources. Obviously, if you want 400 fir logs, you can just spend 112 gems at the shop and avoid trading all together now can't you? That must be nice, but for the 99% of us who either can't afford to or prefer not to rely on such a massive crutch, we'll just have to play the game and trade with others to advance now won't we?

You know that is a joke right it is a photo editing job, but its good to know I did a good job! I just assume that people also know that there is no such thing as a gem deposit that my avatar would indicate. Anyways My goal was not to stop you from doing this just to give new players a heads up that they can do better with a slight amount of work. No hard feelings I understand that some players are going to be cut-throat and that is fine, but that does not mean I cant come and put my un-offensive two cents in to try and protect new players.

Well, you know Bobj, I didn't get your photo editing joke (unfunny btw!) because I choose to think of you as more arrogant than juvenile and so it appears I stand corrected. I'm starting to suspect that you are nothing but a dyed-in-the-wool troll merely masquerading as a concerned community member and now that I've unmasked you, I'm going to have to insist that you stop with your games.

Anyway, whatever your true intent may have been, clearly your original comment was out of line. I have been working these trades daily for a long time and to suggest that I'm ripping people off is a direct attack on my character and the intelligence of my regular trader friends and I won't stand for it. The only honorable way forward now is for you to contact a moderator, admit your mistake and request to have your responses here removed at once.
