    Can't receive system mail messages

    For several hours each day, I cannot receive any mail messages.

    This means, I cannot confirm trades sent to me, or receive resources
    for trades I bid on.
    ( I receive the "New Mail" popups, but nothing in my mail box )

    If I send a test message to myself, I get the "Mail Sent" popup.
    A few seconds later, I get the "New Mail" popup.
    Nothing in the mailbox.

    Many hours later, I'll log in, and have all the messages in my box.

    Any suggestions?

    ( It's on different computers, I've cleared cache, etc )

    Going to have to give a bit more information than that.
    Are you using a proxy, is this at home or on a work network. What is your OS, which browser are you trying and what is the version of the browser. What is the version of your flash and shockwave player.

    It's on multiple computers with multiple browsers and multiple OS's. It is intermittent, and do not believe it is on my side.
    ( Home network, no proxy )

    It hasn't happened for over a day. When it happens next time, I'll collect the specifics.

    A couple things I forgot to mention:
    Normally, if I send a mail message to myself the sender is my username "M-e-t-a-l".
    When the mail system starts going haywire, I send test messages and they don't show up.
    The next day, when my mail box gets flooded with all the old messages, my test messages
    show up, but the sender is "Blue Byte".

    I also recall that my mail would start failing right after I would get a message delivered that wasn't
    addressed to me.
    I deleted those messages after I got them, but if I get more, I'll keep them.


    (TECH: Any problems with the "-" in my username? Your mail parser considering them a switch? )

    I'll collect more specifics, and save examples if it happens again.

    Good idea. I would also do the steps replicating the lost email and take screen shots. If you open a ticket, when you get the response from the help desk you can submit attachments. It might very well be all the - in your name that is throwing the system off.
