If you did and it didn't work did you have storage space available?

yes i did place it on the mayors house and i had storage space

ok what was the resource and if it was something like say coal, do you have any buildings that use it, because even stopped they will prefill themselves for when you start them up again.

I do not debate the voracity of your lost items, just suggesting other places to look.

it was hard wood planks and i have nothing that uses that and had no buildings under construction.
