Is this Game over Moderated?

Hi,

Just got banned for two days from chat by BB_Gramleg for regular standard general chat. Is this a regular experience for you guys? Over moderation is killing this game. Does Blue Byte need to take charge? What are your feeling on this issue?

It just strikes me as totally unfair. Lots of people seem to feel the same way and Blue Byte need this brought to their attention.

Actually, please don't share them. The moderators aren't making up chat rules as they go - things are spelled out in the Code of Conduct & Terms of Service and other threads that have been stickied.

If you were banned, then you ran afoul of those rules, regardless of what your interpretation of "regular standard general chat" may be. Learn from it & move on.

Just cause you got banned the game is over moderated? If you got a ticket for speeding does that mean that the cops are crazy? If you get an extra chicken tender pack does that mean that the people working are stupid? If you find a penny on the ground does that mean that someone was lazy?

actually, it'd be nice to have more regular moderation. global gets really carried away a lot. anyone carrying on a sensible conversation has nothing to worry about. in fact, the mods are usually very tolerant; bb mistapink was on yesterday and i was amazed to see people blatantly ignoring multiple request to tone the conversation down. if you kids want to carry on pushing the boundaries then don't get upset when you have to deal with the consequences.

I received a ban from that of BB as well yesterday, apparently you are suppose to receive information on that of what you are being banned from and yet I have seen nothing. Hmmm, rather strange for a company that wants to enforce its CoC but when you request reason as to it, you receive either computer response or some general non-specific reason which could be none of what you had done. As for the claim we violated the Code of Conduct, the CoC isn’t specific in what is a violation, anyone could interpret anything according to the CoC to ban, remove, etc for any reason and what right does BB have in ban someone based on an opinion of someone? Is this person that understands legal issues surrounding the CoC? At the moment and while I agree that moderation is needed I think for what happened yesterday to myself and others is the result of a overzealous moderator that if he/she doesn’t like the discussion they will shut it down and if you don’t you will be banned or otherwise permanent ban. I would welcome someone from support to contact me soon.

I have seen Mistapink and MrGrimm moderate chat. They do give warnings to people before they ban (have seen it many, many times). I do not think they ban frivolously or without cause. If you do not know what you did to deserve being chat banned or banned in general, private message them.
