Obtaining the proper Documents for Youtube Video

Who would I ask or where would I go to see what specific rights I have to make a youtube video of Castle Empire? or while I am on the topic, any game. For instance I wish to make a small gameplay of Castle Empire of about 13 Minutes, including the game music and sounds as well as commentary from myself. In the description I include the link to the official game site Ex. http://www.castleempireonline.com/en/home

(I also wish to make a youtube Video of FarCry3 when it comes out. I shall obtain a copy by preording it. Seeing this is a Ubisoft Game, I suppose i can get an answer for that as well) Please and thank you.

Most publishers don't want you making these- and cant give you the "rights" to do it. It's a legal thing.

I used to do TW commentaries and I may start again when FoTS is released in a few days. Most games don't care if you do make gameplay videos and commentaries. It's free advertising especially if you have a large subscriber base. CA also would donate TW memorabilia to commentator/community hosted tournaments. I've personally never seen a development team say 'take that down...'

I guess youtube is doing their homework then. If your trying to profit from posting videos of copyrighted material it could be a liability for them.

bobj makes a good point, it seems to be about the profit. if they only turned off your monitization and still let you post, i think that explains all the other video games on youtube.

I sometimes make walkthroughs of a game for a certain level, Technically I am protected under Fair use for educational purposes. They still take it down.

But most videos have ads everywhere around videos of games.
