    SOE - Economy Calculator

    Hi,

I have now also begun times to tinker with an economic planner. Now the first version is online and to reach at: http://settlersonlineeconomy.com

At the moment, only basic functions are implemented. Of course, I will integrate additional functions such as "sleep mode". I would be delighted if some of you test the planner and would send me your feedback.

Should you run into questions, just bring it on.

You can delete buildings, by setting the level to 0, so beware!

I just used the SOE calculator and like it. Thank you. One question, the hardwood items aren't labeled as such they all have (real) after the name. For example my hardwood forester is labeled "Forester (real)", the hardwood sawmill is "Sawmill (real)". This isn't an issue as it takes about 15 seconds to recognize which resource is which. I saw in the information DSO pulls from the game the hardwood is called RealWood. Changing it to say hardwood when displayed in SOE might be nice. As I play around with it some more I'll give more feedback. Thanks again.

Okay, I renamed those buildings and resources. Is it okay now?

Yes, it looks much better. Here are a few more suggestions. Bronzemine should be Bronze mine, Coalmine should be Coal mine, Cokingplant should be Coking plant. The DSO tool allows me to export resource counts. It might be nice to be able to import the resource count and have it show at the bottom, this would allow me to see the daily amount compared to my total value on one screen. For example SOE lets me see that I lose -204 iron a day but it would be helpful to know if I have 4000 or 150 without having to switch back to settlers. I agree with Arismis if buffs could be shown that would be nice. I did see it is data that is exported by DSO.

However, I love this thing. I was imputing all the information into an excel sheet and that was a pain in the a$$. Thank you for your efforts.

    Done!

Great! I didn't know that. I'll implement it, but you have to be patient because I'm on holiday the next week.

Yes, it doesn't, but it's planned.

I just saw another format issue that could improve the calculator. Hardwood Cutter, Hardwood Forester, and Hardwood Sawmill are all next to each other this makes it easier to see where an imbalance is when you have one. I think the same could be done with Forester, Sawmill, and Woodcutter. "Fir wood forester", "Fir wood sawmill", and "Fir wood woodcutter" labels would put the chain next to each other.

Found another thing that could be fixed. The game has wheatfields they produce wheat, the economy planner labels the wheat as Corn on mouse over. And I don't know if you care about the change of Beer to Brew.
