lag making free food buffs

I noticed this another day but was not sure. Today though I just buffed someone with sandwiches. I had 16 in the stack because that was all I could make the day before but anyway making them myself the stack size could not be higher than 25. I buffed 16 buildings in my friend's island and I have 15 sandwiches left over.

I am Australian and my connection seems to be quite laggy. I think the lag may have something to do with this issue.

EDIT: it seems this was a cosmetic effect. The crown/buff icon showed the correct number of buffs left. The star menu failed to update. Had to refresh.

Buffs have loads of lag on both ends and does not clear up till you refresh and sometimes not even then ...
