    Trade exemple 600 woods --> 620 horses

There a exemple completed may 30th 2012 of what trade can do :

    600 wood became 330 coal (at 100 for 55)
    330 coal became 370 wheat (at 33 for 37)
370 wheat became 190 hard planks (at 74 for 38)
190 hard planks became 400 beer (at 95 for 200)
    400 beer became 110 longbow (at 200 for 55)
    110 longbow became 260 horse (at 55 for 130)
    260 horse became 400 tools (at 130 for 200)
    400 tools became 200 sausage (at 100 for 50)
200 sausage became 100 gold ore (at 100 for 50)
100 gold ore became 100 steel (at 100 for 100)
100 steel became 100 iron sword (at 50 for 50)
100 iron sword became 800 tools (at 50 for 400)
    800 tools became 620 horses (at 100 for 75 and 80)

600 wood approximately worth between 3 to 6 gold piece

LMAO! If you really accomplished that, that is Incredible! I just love it when combining trades, I never got it to combine that far, my best was 6. I tip my hat and applaud you.

How much time did this take? You were the beneficiary of a couple favorable trades there as well; not something I'd bank on long term, myself. Assuming you're starting with fir wood logs in the "600 wood" line, I'm trying to figure out why someone would give you more coal than they'll be able to make from your fwl.

The beer for longbows looks sketchy to me as well, though longbows are probably among the widest-ranging resources in terms of buy/sell pricing.

It's an interesting achievement - nice work converting such low-value items into something of much greater value. Is it okay if I friend you & start sending you stacks of fwl for 17g ea? You'll be able to improve on their value, so it's a good deal for both of us!

Yes it was fir wood logs. It took me about 4 hours but I was doing something else, the game was just running in the background. I'm relatively new to this game, and the first time I saw the trading system it took me couple hours of observation to determine the worth of each ressource.

The highest variance trade in there is actually the LB trade... for some reason longbows have an incredibly wide price range. You can literally buy a stack of LBs for 30g and then trade it out for 100g worth of stuff.

Very true. You can easily sell a stack of hwl for 9g. At that price, and a 16:1 conversion rate, longbows "should" cost around 144g, plus whatever you'd add for the very slow build time. Even if you bought the logs at 5g, you're looking at 80g/stack of longbows. On the other hand, the hwc/hwf process is self-sustaining, which drives the price downward. But nothing else in the game seems to vary so widely in pricing on a regular basis.

i think the tools for sausage is the biggest rip off on there, sausage routinely goes for over 30 coins a stack whereas you can buy stacks of tools for between 10-12 easy if not less

You can also buy sausage pretty easily between 20 ~ 25, I do it regularly. I wouldn't have made the Tools/Sausage trade myself, but I don't know that it's any worse than the fwl/coal trade in step 1 where the coal supplier totally hosed himself.
