Free guilds tend to draw inactive players. I don't put much stock into the numbers, its the quality of the players that count.

Top 10 as in amount of members? High member count does not qualify a guild as a top guild. At least one of those guilds are almost completely full of low level players.

Just wondering what use that information is to the community, since you can never keep it as up to date as the version in the game.

If you are implying that these are better then any other guilds, many, if not most players will disagree with you, they are simply the most populous guilds at the time of your post.

I looked at the numbers at one point, and at the time none of those guilds at 100 members had more than 25 players over level 32. At the time Alpha Knights was at about 60 players, all over level 30. Which guild would I rather be a part of? Which guild will I take more seriously? Which guild would I be more intimidated by when PVP is rolled out?

Not very many on the first page.
