Sadness in my heart over elite soldiers

are they really just 1% better than reg. Soldiers....??? I see no benefit in making them. They are to costly to make and then use in a way that you will loose them... similar to Xbows. And they are not any better than having reg. Soldiers?? are they pointless? or am i missing something?

The upper tier units really need to be easier to produce.
Let's take mid level units for example

    Usually costs are

    Longbows, 60-100g (+5-10% Profit)
    Ironswords, 90-130g (+15% Profit)
    Steelswords,200-240g (+200% Profit)

a month ago, ironswords were at 240% Profit margins, and steelswords were 300-320% Profit rates.

this is what is killing the upper tier production, but even at 5-10% Profit rates, they are still to costly to use as a "main unit". This really detracts from leveling, and value of upper tier units. As it stands, the only reason for building upper tier units is for a few bosses, or tough camps here and there, other wise, recruits would do it all the day (and can do it all the way if you make enuff).

The upper tier units need their production cost nerfed.

Longbows need to be 8minute Cycles.
Iron Mines need to have iron ore Limit increased.
Iron bars need to be produces at 25% less of its current cost ratio
Iron/Steel Smelters, need a reduction in coal costs (25% less).

And finially, Elite soldiers need to get more 20-30 Hp, or Some Special Ability.

i agree completely that iron mines need to be increased... or something needs to be done about the iron ore intake per day. Its a huge bottle neck in the creation of iron and steel products.

And i think just like xbows. Elite soldiers should receive a much larger damage bonus. In all honesty the only increase between Soldiers and Elite soldiers is 5% accuracy. I use soldiers mostly covered by other troops such as R or M and take very little Soldier loss.. so increase of 30 HP doesn't do any good!!!!!

it seems to easy if recruits can do it all day, so buff the bosses by 10%

yes but when you lose your garison take 4hrs to come back. and recruits cant defeat everything on their own.

well in most games ive played rpg/online or similar games to this, the game dungeons, boss, or minions although strong and may require several people to take down never compare to the elite players, so although they may seem weak now, when someone shows up to your island with 5000 elite guards and your standing there with that awesome recruit army well , lets just say GAME OVER, lol and lay down those swords now and avoid bloodshed im being a lil SARC but you get the idea ^^ i do think they are a lil weak though

the one thing i do agree is the iron bottleneck, either make it cheaper to run or make it easier to get iron or increase output of bars/weapons, i understand they dont want everyone to be godly weaponsmiths but even to just specialise in one or two weaps or branches that require iron bars/ore is rediculous and requires like 24/7 trading to keep running or to shut down the lvl 5s you have just to avoid total red blinky hell lol but w/e

but after a few weeks of using elite soldiers... there is ABSOLUTELY no benefit in using them over generic Soldiers........

I mean that has to be a flaw in the system

Given that most people use Soliders as a buffer to save at least 1-2 recruits. Elite soliders only up that difference in HP and has a higher hit chance. Still better to use Elite Soliders than Soliders on maps that you aren't expecting to lose soliders.
In almost every map (where enemy have first strikers), Recruits used to the 'maximum' possible loss, and Soliders are the buffer/fluffer units used to increase the dmg. You might as well use Elite Soliders in place right?

Elite soldiers are perfect for Advanced blocking if you know what that is and what they do

I'm not sure why you would want to use 1 elite solider for blocking. Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of losing an expensive unit.?

Unless an elite solider can really hold out an army for a very long time allowing your real troops to pass.
