Skipping home island camps

I am consulting a new player when I realized it is possible to skip 3 camps and possibly 4 in sector 9. the mountain pass from sector 6 has a break in it. if you position your garrisons there you can attack from that side. thus you only clear the camps with the halo in the way to wild mary. My main question is do you loose the loot you get normaly when you take out these camps. Or do you get all the loot from the camps when you kill the sector leader (wild mary)? It is an adventure technique. Has anyone else tried this?

That's a great guide for the home island, it shows the position you mention to put your General at in Sec 6. Good eye though!

Yes, if you skip camps you do NOT get the loot from them, but you do get the XP once you kill the boss camp.
