The name of this thread really explains it all. And due to the nature of this small bug I am unable to provide you with a screenshot because I can only know this after the fact.

My first daily quest on the first day of the event actually had the same reward of 50 titanium bars and some gold. I received that reward.

I have gotten 2 more daily quests since (the most recent was today, 4/25) that have had the same reward (50 titanium bars) but I haven't seen my stock increase by another 100 bars or had mail, or a star menu item.

I guess all I can do is sit here and yell and hope others have encountered this same issue. Unless the Dev's have a way to check for these things in the system because as I said, screenshot proof just cant show after the fact.
