    hardwood upgrade needs changing

alright hi, this is my first post so i hope i found the right section to voice what i need

i'm a level 19, and gold is the most valuable resource for me right now, second only to building permits >.<
so i'm building my manufacturing of hardwood, and i needed to upgrade my hardwood sawmills. but sadly, the upgrade costs 100 gold per. >.<
this makes no sense what so ever, and while i may be new to settlers ONLINE, i am not new to the general idea (i have the very first settlers rise of a empire game) so can we have this changed please? i see no other way to fix this because gold is a multi-player currency

i think the difficulty of getting hwp is necessary...trading and selling for gold is at the heart of a civilization...and this is no exception

Make more sawmills or trade for gold to upgrade them.

I have too much gold. I sent my explorer out to look for treasure ever chance I got. Now I am maxed out. I need more hardwood. It seems really slow to build up a good supply.

I Sure hope there is no change to the way things Have been and are now. There are alot of us that STOP playing games, due to all the Nerfing, to make eaisier. Most have had to work for where they are. So Hopefully this is not nerfed. All games are not made easy. That is the FUN of different types of games. Fushigi PaladinHouse

Well you are not actually right. Gold value of all resources keeps only dropping. So for old players it was way much easier to acquire gold than to new ones. When I started playing usual price for stack of Marble was around 20-25 GCs and today its ~15 GC. This game has a serious problem with economy. And it may even fail at getting new players (that includes new gem buyers), because for newbies getting gold even for lv2 upgrades is a serious pain. This game seriously needs some means to drain gold/resources from High level players who already upgraded everything and are just flooding the market with low offers.

I don't see any reason to penalize the longer-term players just for having found the game earlier & as a result are farther along now. The flip side to them "flooding the market with low offers" is that it's easier to buy things you need now. Why in fact, I remember when it used to cost me 20 ~ 25 gold coins to buy a stack of marble and now I can pick that marble up for less than 15 gold coins. It's awesome!

Where do you see a penality? Creating some temporary things worth spending those resources on wouldnt be a penality. Like for example some tower to boost troops in adventures or pvp maps when they will be aviable. And about buying stuff... its useless. I have never bought anything with GCs in the market and if new players read forums then they also wont waste gold on somewhat useless resources in the market. Because there is far more usefull stuff to spend it. And "long term players" dont actually need it much either. Ayways economy is unbalanced because this is very low demand and and huge suply so I sitll remain to what I said before: Developers rly need to find a way to make those resources usefull and increase demand that way.

Ummm, in what I quoted in my post. The part where you said, "This game seriously needs some means to drain gold/resources from High level players ..."

That's penalizing me for having played here a long time and achieved a higher level. There's a huge difference between creating new content for me to purchase and "drain gold/resources." The very concept of drain is to take away. So if you're taking away my gold/resources, that's a penalty. If you're providing new things for me to buy, and I can choose whether or not to buy them, it's not a penalty.
