Problem with tutorial

I am new to this game and still going through the tutorial. I have gotten to level 7 where I need to make a fish platter, but i am unable to do so. I can not highlight the quest in the dialog box, but I can check the box that says 'creating buffs', but nothing happens. Please help, this games looks like it would be fun to play, but I can not proceed until this problem is fixed.

You need to figure out how to create a fish platter: Build a provisions house, select buffs, generate enough resources to build one fish platter, try to create one, and then if you succeed it will magically appear in your star menu and you can use it to increase production of one of your buildings. The most important thing to know when you're doing the tutorial is that it won't teach you everything about the game -- it's trying to get you to explore, poke around, and learn as you go. But if you really want to understand how the game works, it's far better to take the time to read the forum posts, particularly those geared toward beginners, because they will help you approach the game intelligently and not make mistakes that work in the short run but don't serve you well in the long run.

I have already built a provisions house, selected buffs and have several days of accumulated resources including over 150 fish. Nothing happens. No platter is created.

Hi Markia17, I hope you'll try again. Select your provision house (did you know you can type "P" to open it?). Select the buff tab. Hover your mouse
around the icons, the first one is for fish plates, the second is sandwiches and last is baskets. Click on the fish plate, as this is the buff you
are trying to make. There is a sliding scale, starting at one and going to 25. Right now you just want 1 fish plate so click OK. After you say OK,
your provision house will start to make you a fish plate, it takes a few minutes. When it has finished cooking, you'll see an announcement
pop up near the top left of your screen "buffs are ready!" or something like that. After that, if you look in your *star* menu, you'll see
you have a fish plate! If you click it, then put it on top of another building, (like your fir woodcutter), he will work twice as hard
as usual for the next 30 minutes.

I had the same problem...couldn't click on buffs tab until I had the 10 fish needed to make on platter (either that or it was a glitch for a moment)
