This is obviously just speculation, but it looks like you can specify how many "lots" you would like to offer. So you'd put up your 400 hwp for 15g trade with 12 lots available, and thus no offers beyond the first 12 would be accepted. Maybe. Like I said, this is just speculation, with two screenshots to work with it's hard to say what the reality will be.

So what part of that thread says trades are auto-accepted?

It doesn't say anything at all about auto -accepting in the devs diary but it DOES say
This is a preview: The final design might differ!
So still just speculation and not validation.

That would be a nightmare.. imagine wanting to sell 20k fish and you setup a trade post.. the first person who takes you 1 stack of fish and your whole trade is done for 10 minutes?

Looking at the pic Larochelle posted.......If you post a trade and specify 5 lots are available, those 5 lots will go to the first 5 that bid on them. There will no longer be an option to decline.

Auto Accept is a really bad idea. Simple fix transactions expire in 30 minutes top.

Lol what I like is that if you notice in the "buying" window someone wants to trade settler for brew, obviously we might be able to do that which is a boon for those of us tied to our provision house or spending gems(bad idea) to get more settlers

The autoaccept would not be a good thing. Frequently I am selling overages on something, but I need to reserve a great deal of it for my own use. Just because I am selling does not mean I wish to zero out the resource. Auto accept would cause huge problems, say I am selling beer, if it drained my supply without giving me control, I would not be able to make any troops. Saying I should do all that before trading becomes an insanely complex problem when you put all the things I need to do with all the resources together. On the other hand refusing to let them put in a new trade until they have accepted or declined their old ones would be both fairly easy to program and a simple neat solution to the problem as opposed to solution that creates worse problems then it solved.
