it was fun - thx kate, grimm & mistapink! always nice to see the ppl responsible for the game interacting with the players - it's part of what makes this game so special. i do have a tweak for trivia tho - instead of the top 5, we should play "beat the BBs" - one of you asks the question & the players who respond before another BB answers win!

it's nice to see events happening, but this trivia contest was less a contest of knowledge of trivia, and more a contest of who types faster and has a lower ping time to the server, perhaps there's no way to change that, but it would be nice if there was. Also, in my view a trivia contest should be based on knowledge of trivia, seeing a blue "be ready to google this question" felt rather inappropriate to me.
Your level of exactness required in your answers did vary thru the contest - on #2, you accepted just "edison" as the inventor's name, but on the last you needed the time and time zone specified, clarification would have been nice (though it might have been impossible to clarify that, given the constant spam in the general thread).
On the topic of the thread spam, perhaps the trivia should be done in a "Trivia" thread, where you strictly enforce rules about no chat unrelated to the trivia?

I think the trivia event went well. I think the questions were general enough even though a couple players thought the questions were too American biased. Not sure if it's possible, but limiting the needless low-grade banter would have been nice. Perhaps using a different channel for the event and have another BB on another channel to answer the multitude of random questions. I'm not sure why people were disagreeing on who had the first 5 chats in and about the consistency of the correctness of answers, but I think the BB's did their best to be fair.

Yeah, that would be cool... Also i think a restriction could be nice.. to give everyone a chance of winning. If say i was one of the 10 correct answers for question 1, i would be exempt from answering any of the other questions for that day. you should host separate events for the two. Obviously lots of folks want an opportunity to talk with
you & ask questions (sometimes redundant and stupid questions, but questions all the same).
Separating the trivia event from a general question event would help.
