need friend buff indicator

I would really appreciate it if there was some way to know when a friend has buffed a building of mine sometimes I leave the game on for a while and when I come back I see buffs on my buildings, I don't know who to thank or return the favor to and no they don't even send a message.
I do however on a daily basis trade buffs between certain friends in which we communicate via mail, but I think credit should be given/known for those that use buff on my buildings
