i am new .can someone have more than 1 marble deposit at a time?

Yes you can have more than one, although it depends on what sectors you have cleared.
Sector 1 - 1 marble
Sector 3 - 2 marble
Sector 5 - 2 mable
Secto 8 - 5 marble
This is the maximum amount of mines that you can have at any given time. Now if you have only take out say sector 1 and 3 you can only have a total of 3 marble mines going, until you have cleared the rest of the sectors. Hope this helps.

You need to differentiate between deposits & marble masons. Deposits are what your geo finds, masons are the buildings you build to extract marble from the deposit. I think at very early levels, you will find two marble deposits in sector 1, though at some point, one will disappear forever. I don't remember this happening for me, but I remember it being discussed in Help chat some time ago & the number of people who corroborated it was impressive.

You can build multiple masons to work one marble deposit, (this works for stone as well). But as your licenses are limited, don't go nuts. Build a couple marble masons per deposit and while it'll still be painfully slow, at least you'll know it's going as fast as it can.
