well the way the game is designed, there is absolutely no reason you would need to reset.

You cannot mess up your island at all in any way shape or form....

This has been suggested before and will never be implemented because it's a completely pointless feature.

If you have deforested your island, build more foresters.

If you check the resources needed to build certain things, you'll notice that some thing don't require anything other than 10 tools to build...

so if you managed to run out of tools the only way you wouldn't be able to build anything is if you are out of fir wood planks and stones and can't make tools out of them through the provision house or you are too low on fir wood planks and stones, and decided to demolish all your firwood cutters/forresters, sawmills, and masons or your demolished your provisions house and therefore have no way of turning the fir wood planks and stones into tools.

Even if you managed to do all those things and are stuck, you get gems here and there, you could easily spend a few to get the tools from the shop needed to rebuild without having to buy gems yourself.

All in all, there is no reason to need to reset.

Yeah because I thought there may be a restart option, although I had not checked yet. (I see now that there is not) But Anax has taken away some anxiety towards failing hard and thinking I may corner myself in fail. I'm on the fence about the "Move Building" option, since it would be nice, but not realistic.

I doubt realism has any real place in a browser game. Just look at Recyclers and Endless Water Mills, and I think you will agree. Moving buildings is absolutely necessary!

I have messed up totally... I built buildings in the wrong places, not thinking about transport times. After talking to some people in chat, I tore them all down and started rebuilding, then after a couple trial and error builds, I tore down and rebuilt again. Now I am stuck at level 10 without enough tools to build the copper mine and no way to get additional tools.

Any tips on what to do to get around this?

The shop allows you to buy tools for the a small cost of gems, firwood planks, and stones

Under "Black Market" Scroll to the bottom and you will have the dirty toolbox which gives 250 tools at a cost of 9 gems, 500 firwood planks, and 400 stones

another more gem expensive method is under the "Wholesale" tab which has two options. Starter pack for 200 gems gives 400 firwood planks, 400 stones, 100 tools and 20 settlers, or the Toolbox for 275 gems which gives 500 tools.
