well the way the game is designed, there is absolutely no reason you would need to reset.

You cannot mess up your island at all in any way shape or form....

This has been suggested before and will never be implemented because it's a completely pointless feature.

If you have deforested your island, build more foresters.

If you check the resources needed to build certain things, you'll notice that some thing don't require anything other than 10 tools to build...

so if you managed to run out of tools the only way you wouldn't be able to build anything is if you are out of fir wood planks and stones and can't make tools out of them through the provision house or you are too low on fir wood planks and stones, and decided to demolish all your firwood cutters/forresters, sawmills, and masons or your demolished your provisions house and therefore have no way of turning the fir wood planks and stones into tools.

Even if you managed to do all those things and are stuck, you get gems here and there, you could easily spend a few to get the tools from the shop needed to rebuild without having to buy gems yourself.


All in all, there is no reason to need to reset.

to top it off, it sounds like the ability to move buildings will come in Aug.

i believe it will work as long as you dont have to spend your resources on moving your buildings...

Let me just chime in here to say that I completely rebuilt several sections of my island several times along the way to my current level. It was well worth the resources spent in order to ensure my island was both functionally efficient and (to me) aesthetically pleasing as well. Having started the game in closed beta, most of my island was built prior to the opening of the gem shop, so it can be done without gems. You just need patience, be willing to plan ahead, and be willing to take time to read the many tips in the forums on production chains, and island building.
