cant build up a supply
I am trying to get my fir wood supply up for planks and coal and all that, I have around 15 level 3 fir wood cutters, and I shut down everything that uses fir wood, except for ONE level 2 fir wood sawmill, and have plenty of foresters, all my coaking plants and bowmaker and anything else is put to sleep, yet I keep going down in my firwood supply, how can this be? I am at level 34, and have been playing this game for a little while and feel I have a good understanding of what to do, but am I missing something?
-
that makes no sense as I have 8 fir wood cutters at level 3, and have 5 level 3 coking plants and 4 level 3 fir wood sawmills plus 1 level 2 bowmaker and I have a positive income of fir wood without buffs.
Are you sure you aren't overlooking something?

positive, i have shut down my entire kingdom just to make sure

hmm.. are you sure they are firwoodcutters? Maybe they are hardwood cutters... they look quite simliar.
what about storage? Could you be at your max?
EDIT: I understand you said you are going down in fir wood supply, but what if you demolished one of your storages... it might be possible that now your max capacity is lower than you current stock.

Also look at where your store house is relative to your cutters and foresters. If the store house is far away the production time could be what is causing the low production. Just a thought.

Recruit
I was told by another player that for a good fir supply I'd need to go by this ratio.
Foresters/Cutters/Sawmill
3 - 2 - 4
Does that seem right?

yes cerebral, it is. cempire.com is a usefull site with posts, and links that will help u out a bunch. enjoy the game

Bowmaker is the biggest drain on your firwood - try shutting that down. How many coking plants do you have? What level? That's the other possibility
