Production Stopped?

I was out of town for 4 days and I expected to come back to all exclamation points. I logged in today and found that all my iron mines are still working and 5 out of 6 of my copper mines are still working. I am not full on copper or iron (not even close).

Anyone know why production stopped over the weekend? What did I miss?

I think that if you do not log in after a certain amount of time, the island shuts down.

You just get someone to drop by and buff and it keeps going.

I have been informed by other players that production stops after 72, not 24 hours.
Who knows for sure?

I've heard 24 hours a few times but never heard 72 hours. Hard to believe your mines would have run for 72 hours without running dry - I think that's a bit of proof.
