BB has all the subtlety of a 3 year old. Think about the contests they've run so far ... what are the prizes? Usually 50 gems and maybe a decorative item for your island, right?

So all of a sudden, here's 1,000 gems! to participate in a "Best Guide" competition. Gee, you think they REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanna see your guides or what? And why would that be? Duh! To figure out where the loop holes are now, so they can close them.

Nice move on posting them here, folks. Pure genius.

Wow, conspiracy theories are fun and all, but does anyone think that maybe this was an effort to try and calm down the people who are still pissed about the change? And the prizes are better because making a guide requires more work than submitting a screenshot?

Don't get me wrong, the path changes annoyed me too, but I have trouble picturing the devs coming up with this contest whilst greedily rubbing their hands together and cackling maniacally.

I must agree as well. Also figuring that with all these details written down ... anyone can come and read and use the information being placed here for this event. I am assuming and it is my own opinion!

Why Kate so you can nerf them again? you want to add more strategic thinking? add new adventures or intro PVP. IDIOTS ! changing up all the hard work weve already put in? If you continue your process of backwards thinking i will be leaving this game entirely and i know im not alone.

Wow, how sad is it that you're taking down posts with dissenting viewpoints. Did Kim Jong Un teach you that trick?

Especially sad considering that at least some of those viewpoints also informed people that perhaps the ulterior motive for this Guide contest was to learn exactly how people are completing adventures today so that you figure out the next set of changes to make to further reduce the strategy used in adventuring.

Meanwhile, bring on some more $100 buildings for the masses!

I guess I don't expect to see this post survive long, but then again, you probably don't really expect me to stick around anymore either.

Awesome. Thanks for the good times. It's sad you're taking the game in this direction. Best wishes to you all.

This truly is the saddest contest I've ever seen. You are asking us to figure out (and share with you) how to undo the mess you created by breaking something that didn't need fixing. Here is the solution: undo the repathing! I'll give you 1,000 gems if you do.

Kate, I don't think anyone objects to the pathing changes. As your BB cohort pointed out,
it's an opportunity to rethink adventures some of us have completed many times. In fact,
you guys could do more to keep the game interesting and fresh for experienced players.
Maybe move the camps around a little every few months, or change the bandit configurations,
or has been suggested add a random element.

But the universal outcry is that blocking strategies are a big part your players, and gem buyers, enjoy.
What part of that sentence don't your developers understand?? "Give the customer what he wants"
is generally a good business model. You guys made a huge mistake with this.

I've seen many good suggestions on how you can evolve the game to keep up long term interest,
and that's where your future gem sales will come from. You should listen to your customers!

And no matter how nicely you put it, or what contest you invent, no one from BB has attempted to
explain the reasoning behind this horrific change. Your customers feel the game has been diminished,
    and that' the bottom line.

I hope you guys rethink this

Wow. You deleted my husband's post? Sorry we don't agree with you all. What's next? Are you going to ban me next for disagreeing?

Despite being one of seemingly few US bases guide makers, I will be boycotting this event since it is BB stated intent to eliminate blocking and by providing guides as to how to block, it will make it easier to for BB to do that.

Blocking is a challenge and many of those blocks have a significant risk factor involved. *** If your willing to take the risks, you should gain an additional reward (lower losses). ***

IMHO, BB stated effort to eliminate blocking will only injure their player base reducing it significantly. I don't see any need now to ever buy Gems again because the player base is thin enough as it is (certainly at the higher levels). Pouring good money after bad seems not wise.
