How do I have more than 200 soldiers?

I trained over 200 soldiers but it would only let me send 200 to battle what do i have to do to be able to send more?

You should look at the guides first.
You are saying Soldiers, but I suspect you mean Recruits or something else.
If you need more that 1 wave of 200 troops, you will need another general.

I may not be understanding your question correctly and please disregard if i am mistaken.
If your general has a limit of 200 then thats all he can transport /battle regardless of what kind of troops..unless you have the 250 general
