Did you look at how many troops it would take to kill that camp? That was a 40 second block that allows you to get to the leader for a fraction of the cost of killing the camp, and also allowing you to block the other camps.
It's sort of like a 1R block -- but it needed to be 40s instead of 20s. You could try a 'stacked 1R' block, but the odds are really high that you'll be intercepted and lose your whole army.
Finishing too quickly has it functioning as designed.
Sorry - I needed to be clearer The block on C5 (183 recruits) failed before the attackers on L1 were safely by and/or engaged. I believe we executed properly, so it may be either a timing improvement or composition of the C5 block. Of course, it is also probably an error by this writer. I will check on it next time in! Cheers!

- re-done HLT guide for double vets, thanks to ZBest for some blocking ideas, reduced 17h in level 5 barracks, switched some bows to recruits as usual
this guide has been done and in use in my guild for over a week already, was just waiting to run the adventure again to improve blocking positions for L3, so here it is, less losses than BLT, but more barracks time (cavs fault)

im sure nords 2 can be optimized, too bad it is too expensive, so im not running it in the next times
