Serious concern with mines

Good morning fellow CEO's. I have a question about the production chain with mines. I have read numerous forums on gold mines, and it was my understanding the a gold mine with 300 ore at level 5 would produce 3000 ore (when buffed) after exhausting the mine. I haven't run mine yet, so I can't say whether it will or not. Does this same theory apply to the other mines? I wasn't paying much attention to the other mines until this morning when I buffed my iron mine (Level 2), and noticed that it was extracting 2 iron ore instead of 1. Can anyone please explain why this happening. Thanks for the assist.

A level 2 iron mine will extract 2 ore, buffed or unbuffed. Buffed it will take 2 out of the mine, but deliver 4. A level 1 mine will extract 1 ore.

OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I'm beating myself with a stupid stick over this one!! LOL I can't believe I wrote that. Porker game ran real late last night (this morning).
