Thumbs down New trading system requires free players to quit.

I do not use coinages to produce gold. Instead I sell resources to other players.

I sell brew, hard wood logs, hard wood planks, marble, bread, iron ore and coal. On average I probably move around 20k resources per day or more.

Unfortunately, under the new trading system, I can only sell 4 stacks at a time every ten minutes because I am not a gem buyer. That means I will basically have to sit in front of the computer and post trades all day long which is impossible. In other words, under the new trading system, I cannot play anymore.

It is perfectly clear that Blue Byte wants to convert their free-to-play game into a pay-to-play game by requiring gems to do anything in the game.

You could say, good ridden, you don't support the game by buying gems so you're just a leech anyway. But the thing is, I do buy silos and noble deeds from other players. So I buy gems indirectly through other players. You could also say I encourage other players to buy more gems than they normally would by rewarding them with gold payments.

What I'm saying is, even free players do contribute, but now we cannot even play under the new system which requires gems to do anything.

Gems for building queues, gems for selling lots, gems to be able to post more trades. Pretty soon it will cost gems to even log on the game.

Oh well, it was a good game while it lasted, but island maintenance was getting to be too much of a time sink anyway.

You've missed show's point. They've limited your trades in 10 minutes to "four" unless you unlock the "lot limit" with gems.
Before the new trade system you can get as many trades as people want to buy in 10 minutes. If you have thousands to sell this is a good feature.
With the new trade system, you will have two limits. The 10 minute timer and up to only 4 trades. After that the trade you set up is over.

    show's point is valid.

I use real money when I feel like it in game but I will not play a game that forces you to use it. In anyway. So I will be leaving the game once this is implemented. Typical Ubisoft fashion they have ruined something that was once fun.

It's not 10 minutes AND up to 4 trades, like you claim. It's a 10 minute timer OR up to 4 trades, whichever is earlier. The worst this system is doing is making you come back to refresh your trade before your 10 minutes is up if you happen to have sold all 4 free lots. On that note, if you did have thousands for sale, what you'd want to do is sell 1/4th of that quantity and offer 4 lots. There is no 'stack' limit on the new trade system and will be limited only by what your storage limit is. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on with how they've side stepped the current three way handshake for trades and it'd be worth your while to look at it in more detail.

Eitherway, this is something on the test server and people have been offering feedback here:

Don't always expect what you see in a test server to make the live server, that's why they call it a "test" server.

we are saying the same thing only i'm emphasizing that there are 2 limits now, "10 minutes" and "up to only 4 lots". either will end the trade.
not everyone can pay for large lots, by limiting the lot count it forces excessively large lot sizes and limits who can afford to buy from you.

neither of those 2 limits should be forced on us
provide a timer i can adjust to a time i desire and choose to use or not use for my trade
provide a lot count i can set to any number i desire and choose to use or not use
none of it should have a coin or gem cost associated in any way, shape, or form
then you have a functional trading system.

i have been using the new trade system on the test server
the only improvements are removing the "400" limit, not making the trades go through the mail, and adding the "trade history" tab

If people are buying and selling by the truckload when do they find time to play the game?
