    New to this game

    Hello,

I really just wanted to post to give my opinion of the game. I have been playing strategy games for a loong time, and I dare to say this one has serious potential. Some basic problems I hear is there is nothing to do after this wild mary camp, and there is a ton of waiting for armies to do it. This game has one serious flaw and its not that. Every game I have played has one thing in common. They want to keep you logged in and playing. This game doesn't have any real benefit for being logged in and playing...you can pretty much do what you need to in 10 min a day and then you wait. IMO you all need to add a function that allows players to do "something" every 5-10 minutes to keep interest going while players are logged in.

What that something is, I don't know. Maybe an explorer that will find a weapon or useful item in short periods of time? Anything really would do that slightly benefits the player for playing. This game has peeked my interest however I am afraid the lack of "something" to do while I wait will have me going elsewhere in no time.

    Thanks,

    Brick

There are adventures that you can do, but you have to go look for them or buy them. That is the number one way to go up in level. Increases your level allows you to buy new buildings and make new items. The items can be sold in trade, but you have to actively put them up every ten minutes if you want to have a real presence there. You can also do trades in the global chat channels. You can join a guild. There are guild quests and guilds do a few other things within each guild that can benefit players. There are players that are running auctions that you can bid in. There is quite a bit that you can do, but you have to actively find the activities and get involved.

And I am going to say, you are spot on. There really isn't much to keep a player interested after they clear the island. The whole game is based around making troops and losing troops. Thats the only way you get xp that gets you to the next level. After awhile, the thought of doing another adventure is just a turn-off. They are all the same, with changes in difficulty.
New stuff is coming...someday. I'm afraid that day will come too late for many of us who have been waiting for a very long time.
I will say this much, the guild is the ONLY reason I still log in every day. So if you are looking for stuff to do, the guild is a good bet. I would recommend that you stay away from auctions until you are VERY confident on the way the market works and how to avoid getting ripped off.

LadyTerra is right the guild is the only thing that keeps a lot of us coming back, that and the test server to see what they are planing for the main servers. All were told in the beginning to have another game or something to do while waiting on things to build here. there was and still is a need for something to do while waiting for the resources to build and for the higher levels to do.

I think that something to do while were waiting is life. That is what is so awesome about this game. Do a couple things then go to work. Come back and play for abit then go to sleep
