Thumbs up Yea!!! Move Building!!! But.....

I'm so psyched that Move Building finally came out!

Now I can fix some of those plunders you always wish you could before you figured out the mechanics and strategies of a game.

I'm busy right now moving some of my low level buildings around, waiting for some resources to build up for the higher moves.
Didn't notice it was added until I'd built a bunch of stuff - it's still on Test and didn't think it would be released yet!

The one problem I'm having is that when you select a building to move, and it gives you the building silhouette for a cursor, it doesn't remove the footprint of the old building (even temporarily) while navigating so you could , say, reposition the building a few squares left or right.

If you need to move a building across the screen, no problem.

But if you only want to move it over a few squares so you can make room for something else, you now have to move it twice -
once to get it out of the way, and one more time to put it back where you wanted it.

This new feature would be TWO thumbs up if the old building footprint was removed while you selected the location to move to!

Love this new feature. Pricing isn't bad either. As for footprint "issue", well personally, I don't have a problem with this. Is it a pain - yes! Extra cost - yes! But, until the building has actually been moved, it needs to remain in it's original spot - I get this. I will be doing this with several buildings - moving them out of the way to either place a new building there or to simply move the building over a bit. It's still cheaper to do this then to tear down a level 3 building and then upgrading it again. Great new feature!

Was this problem on the test server as well. I wouldn't know because after I got on the first day I was kicked off after a couple of hours, and haven't been able to get back in. It seems to me that when the building is moved, the footprint should go with it. I've played other online games that had this feature (edgeworld), and didn't have a problem moving one square in any direction and leaving a footprint. I'll need more clarification on this before I start wasting resouces moving buildings twice.

Now you don't lose 5k coin when moving lvl 4 barrack or provision house if only you could move your Mayor House or Storehouses

Have to agree with that statement Kaspa000. This new feature does have it's advantages. I was waiting for it to come out before I moved my buildings around. I'm still concered with the footprint issue. I really don't have a problem with the extra resources being spent either Hondo, but is it really necessary? I still think that when the building is moved, it should erase any footprint from it's original position. It should be as if the building was never there to begin with.

Trying to organize a island that has almost every square populated is a nightmare. The most fun to be had is designing the island and it shouldn't be only for the privileged and wealthy either:P

The move feature should have stored the building to the star menu OR how about paying the cost and having free movement of the building for an hour?

Not so cheap for level 5 buildings.

Oh, yeah the building is completely removed from the old location - after you place it in the new location.

What I'm saying is while you have it and are trying to move it around the old building is still on the map.

And you can't reposition it anywhere the old building is still sitting.....

BTW, you do keep any buffs on a building when you move it.

Just found that out that hard way.
