    ARCHIVED PATCH NOTES 1/1/2013 - 10/16/2013

    This post will outline all patch notes for new versions of the game. This will tell you what changes have been made to the game with each new version

    Please note: This is a preliminary version of the patch notes and the final patch notes may differ.


    HALLOWEEN: BUFFS
    • Darkness: Creates a sphere of darkness around the building and stops its production.
    • Very Strong light: Removes a darkness effect from a building and boosts its production.
    • Zombie: Boosts the production of a workyard up to 400%.
    • Mr. Myers: Boosts the recruitment speed of Barracks up to 400%.
    • Frank and Stein: Adds 1000 Marble units to the marble deposit.

    HALLOWEEN: BUILDINGS
    • Pumpkin Field: Fields which produce Pumpkins. You can buff these fields in order to increase the output.
    • Village School: Speeds up the process of attracting new settlers to your village.
    • Silo: Refills wheat fields over time.
    • Decorations: A couple of decoration items are available.
    • Improved Warehouse: A special warehouse that provides 3x more space for resources than a standard one.

    HALLOWEEN: GOLEM
    Each game world will try to defeat a common boss together in order to receive rewards. The boss (the Golem) is present at the lake at the center of each player's home island. Game worlds are not competing with each other: each game world has its own goal to achieve.

    HALLOWEEN: OTHER
    • Grim Reaper General: This special general has the same stats as the Battle Hardened General, but the appearance in the Star menu is different.
    • Eliot, the Pumpkin Master: He will assign you several quests.
    • Collectible Pumpkins: During the Halloween event, Collectible Pumpkins can appear on your home island.
    • Zombies: Animals on your home island will be replaced with zombies.
    • Music: The background track will be changed during the Halloween event.
    • Graphics: Several graphics will be modified, including the logo and loading screen.

    COMMUNITY VOTE: GUILD MARKET OFFER
    The items that were selected during the last community vote are now available in the Guild market category.

    FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • Several mechanics related to the skill tree for explorers were improved.
    • Using instant buffs could lead to some issues.
    • A few localization updates.
    • Finishing the "Longbows" quest will no longer cause problems.
    • Improved tooltip when deleting content from the Star menu.
    • Resetting explorer's skill tree could lead to some issues.

    NEW FEATURE: COLLECTIBLE ITEMS
    • Collectible items can be found on your home island and on adventure islands.
    • New quest chain and adventure sub quests were added.
    • Collections tab was added and Military tab was removed at the mayor's house interface.
    • Collectible items are tradable in the trade office.
    • New buffs can be produced by using collections.

    FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • The text in the login queue window is not editable anymore.
    • An undefined geologist popup text message was fixed.
    • A few interface improvements were implemented.
    • Remaining time while building a floating residence is now displayed correctly.
    • Changing the guild leader successor by arrow keys could lead to a wrong succession order.

    ADDITIONAL CHANGES

    SCIENCE SYSTEM: EXPLORERS
    • The second part of the Science System has been implemented to the game.
    • It introduces a skill tree for explorers with 20 different skills.
    • You can specialize each of your explorers individually.
    • More detailed information about the skill tree for explorers can be found in our official forums (developer's diary).

    FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • Process responsible for moving generals between zones has been improved.
    • Display adjustments in the Shop.
    • Sometimes the arrow in combat reports was not shown correctly.

    NEW MINI ADVENTURES
    3 new mini adventures were implemented to the game: Sleepy Reef, The Sleeping Volcano, and Pirate Life.

    NEW FEATURE: PREMIUM ACCOUNT
    This feature provides you the following advantages:
    • 50% more experience points (loot)
    • 50% more loot from adventures
    • Additional building queue slot
    • Increase of buffs' time on friend zones
    • One additional (regular) daily quest per day

    NEWS AND MODIFICATIONS: SHOP
    • New category related to Premium Account feature.
    • The Invasion of the Nords adventure has been added to the Shop.
    • The limit of Gem pits was increased to 10 (in total).
    • Two new buffs: Enhanced gold pickaxe and Enhanced iron pickaxe.
    • It is possible now to send Gems to friends as gifts.

    FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • Using keyboard shortcuts will no longer lead to visual issues.
    • Sometimes the icon indicating new messages was not showing up properly.
    • Several improvements related to various quests.
    • The text in the Archive window is not editable anymore.
    • A few interface improvements.
    • The process related to switching between zones has been improved.

    MODIFICATIONS
    • The military offer in the shop is no longer available.

    GUILD INTERFACE IMPROVEMENTS
    • Guild member activity indicator
    • Daily guild quests status indicator
    • Adventure cooperation requests
    • Two new ways to change the guild leader

    BUGFIXES
    • Starting and canceling adventures too quickly will no longer lead to a disconnect.

    EPIC RAIDS

    Challenging end-game content that features:
    • Very hard adventures for high level players.
    • New buildings such as gold towers, a Fairy-tale Castle, and more.
    • New enemies such as Greedy Inn-keepers, Lying Goats, and more.
    • New resources: Magic Beans and Magic Beanstalks.
    • New shop category.
    • New specialists.
    • Possibility to gain additional building licenses.
    • Several new quests related to epic raid adventures and more!

    MILITARY OFFER

    A special shop category that is available only for a limited time. It consists of items such as hired troops, specialists, floating residences, and more.

    GUILD MARKET CHANGE

    Some time ago, the first international community vote was held. It was related to the upcoming changes in the guild market. The guild market offer was updated with the maintenance: now it includes the item you chose during the vote - Silo - and other new items.

    EXPERIENCE POINTS CONVERSION (for 50 level players)
    As a first step, a brand new resource has been implemented to the game: Star Coins (not tradable, available only for level 50 players).
    • All level 50 players will no longer receive experience points for adventures, they will receive Star Coins instead.
    • The epic raid adventures are an exception: Instead of XP/Star Coins, level 50 players will receive additional Magic Beans from them.
    • A special script that was executed during the maintenance converted all experience points that were acquired from adventures after reaching level 50 into Star Coins.
    The script affected only level 50 players.

    IMPROVEMENTS
    • Several improvements related to the trade system.
    • The process responsible for updating the friend list has been improved.
    • Several timing issues were fixed.

    BUGFIXES
    • It was not possible to visit all friends' islands.
    • The "Death to the leaders" quest was not working properly.
    • In some cases the "cancel" button was not showing up while buffing friends.
    • Occasionally, resources from mines, wells, and fields were not added properly to storage.
    • Some resources were not added correctly to storage after demolishing a building or cancelling orders in Barracks and Provision house.

    SUMMARY OF THE EVENT

    A large variety of actions lead to balloons. This new event resource can be donated to the game world through an interface available directly in the game. It doesn't matter if you are a high level player or if you just joined the game: everybody can fully participate in this event and help his or her game world win rewards.

    NEW CONTENT
    This event will bring a lot of new things to the game, a brief summary:
    • Two types of brand new retro adventures
    • New retro buffs for many buildings
    • New quests presenting ways to gather balloons
    • Additional daily quests related to the event
    • New event window explaining how the event works
    • New graphics and more

    RESULTS

    The current progress of your game world can be tracked directly in the game. The overview can be accessed via a button below your avatar interface.

    Please note: It will take around 4 days to calculate initial results and generate a corresponding graphic. After this initial period, the results will be updated more frequently.

    SCIENCE SYSTEM - PART 1
    • The Science System has been implemented to the game.
    • This is a special skill system which adds 7 brand new buildings to the game, new production chains and 9 new resources.
    • The first part introduces a skill tree for geologists with 20 different skills.
    • You can specialize each of your geologists individually.
    • A few tutorial quests and help windows have been added to the game.
    • It it possible to assign names to specialists.
    • More detailed information about the Science System can be found in the official forums (Developer's Diary).

    MORE FREE GEMS
    • The daily gem login bonus system has been increased from 45 to 100.
    • The amount of gems each player receives for leveling-up has been increased significantly.
    • Active players who acquired level-up gems in the past received a package with the difference between the old and new gems rewards (because individual level-up rewards were raised).
    • More detailed information about the free gems increase can be found in the official forums (Developer's Diary).

    BUGFIXES
    • Quests "The militia" and "Tactician" have been fixed.

    NEW DAILY GUILD QUESTS
    • The overall amount of available Daily Guild Quests was increased, more than 200 new quests were added to the game.

    NEW CRISIS QUESTS - "THE FALLEN ARMY"
    • Crisis Quests are only available for a short period of time.
    • To receive Crisis Quests, you need to be at least level 16.
    • Crisis Quests are split into the following level ranges: 16-25, 26-35, 36-45 and 46-50.
    • There are 10 sub quests, you receive rewards for completing them.
    • Completing the main task gives you an extra reward.
    • A new help window has been added to the game to assist you with the Crisis Quests feature.
    • The remaining time for these quests will be displayed on the website (days) and in-game.

    BUGFIXES
    • The quest "More damage" has been fixed.
    • The combat preview for one of bandit camps in sector 3 has been corrected.

    NEW MINI ADVENTURE
    • Your explorer can now find a new mini adventure called "Tropical Sun" through a short and medium search. Level 26 is required to start this adventure.

    BUGFIXES
    • The option to cancel daily guild quests is working correctly now
    • The trade window will no longer redirect you to the first page after clicking the "Accept offer" button
    • The level requirement needed to buy The Nords adventure in the Guild Market is now correct

    OTHERS
    • Improvements related to the zone changing process
    • Some quest icons in the Quest book were modified to fit their respective descriptions
    • An additional pop up related to the "Missing tools" quest was added

    EASTER EVENT - REMOVAL PHASE 2
    • All unfinished Easter quests have been deactivated
    • The shop category "Easter Event" was deactivated
    • Easter graphics were switched to default ones
    • Floating house is available now in the Shop for 290 Gems (limit: 3)

    EASTER EVENT - REMOVAL PHASE 1
    • Explorers will no longer find Easter Eggs with treasure hunts
    • New Easter quest chains will not show up anymore, if you have an ongoing quest chain, you will still be able to complete it until the next Easter Removal 2

    RESOURCE: EASTER EGGS
    • Easter Eggs are the Easter event resource. They are displayed in the warehouse as usual and they are tradable.
    • You can collect Easter Eggs in many ways. For more details please visit the forum: http://ubi.li/Egcym.

    EASTER SPECIALISTS
    • Easter Veteran General: A very powerful general; you can assign up to 250 units to him. Each user can get one for eggs during this year's Easter event!
    • Experienced Explorer: Special explorer who is much faster than the standard one - you can get up to 2 specialists of this kind with eggs.

    EASTER BUILDINGS
    • Watermill: Produces unlimited water - you can get up to 5 buildings of this type during the Easter event.
    • Rabbit Farm Field: A wheat field containing 6000 units of wheat.
    • Raving Rabbid Statue: Special decoration building that screams "BWAAAAH" - just click on it!
    • Floating house: Brand new building which can be placed on the water you can get up to 5 buildings of this kind for eggs during the Easter event.

    EASTER BUFFS
    • Rabbit Luck Charm: Special buff that increases the output of a building by 3x for 48 hours.
    • Mineral Rabbit: Deposit refill - it adds 6000 units of Coal to a Coal mine.
    • Chocolate Rabbit: Brand new buff which halves the production time of the Provision house for 12 hours (cannot be used on a friend's island).

    FURTHERMORE
    • NPC: Don't be scared when a guy dressed up as a rabbit gives you a quest!
    • Easter Quest Chains: Special quest chains were added to the game.
    • Graphics: Several default graphics were modified, so they better fit the Easter event atmosphere.

    BUGFIXES
    • The trade tab will be added to the chat window.

    NEW MINI ADVENTURE
    • Another brand new mini adventure called "The Tropical Sun" can be
    • found by your explorer (short and medium search).
    • Level 26 is required to start the adventure.
    • The adventure is tradable.
    • In-adventure quest chain with an exciting little story.
    • It has a variety of in-adventure quests like destroying camps, but also other quests like finding special buildings.
    • It is a step-by-step adventure, where you have to take out pirate and bandit camps in a given order because they are blocking the way.
    • There is a new daily quest that requires finishing this mini adventure.

    TRADE OFFICE CHANGES
    • Adventures received from adventure boxes are now tradeable.

    OTHER MODIFICATIONS AND FIXES
    • Trade offers now have to be accepted manually (mail).
    • Implemented several improvements related to zone loading processes.
    • A few improvements related to quest triggers have been added.

    GUILD MARKET: NEW CONTENT
    Four items in the guild market have been replaced with the following new ones:
    • Gold Fever: Increases the output of a Gold Mine x3 for 16 hours
    • Stone Cubes: Adds 1000 stone to the storehouse.
    • Adventure: The Nords
    • Permanent Building Queue Slot: Adds a perm. building queue slot

    NEW FEATURE: MINI ADVENTURE
    Our first brand new mini-adventure called "The Lost Skull" can be found by your explorer (short and middle search).
    • Level 26 is required to start the adventure.
    • The adventure is tradable.
    • An in-adventure quest chain with an exciting story about pirates and lost treasures.
    • It has a variety of in-adventure quests like destroying camps, but also other quests like finding special buildings.
    • It's a step-by-step adventure, where you have to take out the bandit camps in a given order because they're blocking the way. Every step has its own fun little quest.
    • There is a new daily quest that will require finishing the mini-adventure.

    NEW FEATURE: CRISIS QUESTS
    The first crisis quest is called "Four Winds" and it will be activated after the maintenance. It will be removed 2 weeks later with the start of that week's maintenance.
    • Level ranges: 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-50
    • "Four Winds" comes with a main quest and 10 sub quests.
    • Brand new tasks to do.
    • Receive rewards by finishing sub quests.
    • Finish the main task and get an extra reward.

    BUG FIXES
    • Optimizations to various game systems in order to improve server and client performance.
    • Several quests couldn't be finished due to being above the maximum required level. This issue is fixed now, and those quests can be finished.
    • F11 switches to full screen mode.
    • Endless battle animations on adventure maps were fixed.
    • Hidden traps are no longer showing a visible aggro range.
    • Quest system was optimized for better performance.

    The following features will disabled:
    • Provision House: The resource conversion from marble and presents to granite has been disabled.
    • All unfinished Christmas quests will be stopped. This means that they will disappear from your quest book.
    • The "Christmas" shop category will removed.[*]The banner in the shop will be changed to the normal banner.
    • The loading screen will be changed to the normal one.
    • The shop header graphic will be changed to the normal one.

    The following item is now available in the shop:
    • The Deerstalker Hut is available now in the Architecture category for 1,995 gems.

    Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! The Christmas event has started.

    RESOURCE: PRESENTS
    • Presents are our Christmas event resource. They are displayed in the warehouse as usual and are tradable!
    • Shop: The small present package contains 30 presents.
    • Shop: The large present package contains 100 presents.

    CHRISTMAS BUILDINGS
    • Deerstalker Hut: A brand new building that produces unlimited meat without using a deposit. You can get up to 3 buildings during the Christmas event.
    • Decorations: Fabulous Christmas decorations are available in the Shop again!
    • Recycling Manufactory: This building produces unlimited coal without using any other Resources. You can get 1 building for presents, in case you didn't get one for presents in the past.

    QUESTS AND OTHER UPDATES
    • NPC: Santa Claus is introduced. Ho ho ho!
    • Snow: Each player received a gift! Check your in-game mail to get a free "A Thousand Snowflakes" buff
    • New Daily Quests: Chrismas themed special daily quests are available during the event. Level ranges are: 10-17, 18-25, 26-35 and 36-50.
    • Christmas Adventure: Stop the Croaker’s evil plans in this special Christmas Adventure (available from LVL 26)
    • Graphics: Our logo and loading screen have gotten into the Christmas spirit!

    CHRISTMAS BUFFS
    • A Thousand Snowflakes: Covers your island with fluffy snow.
    • Solar Flare: Removes the snow from your island.
    • Christmas Feast: Increases the Mayor’s House output x6. Lasts 2 hours.
    • Cookies: Increases any workyard’s output x3. Lasts 32 hours.
    • The Fermentation Accelerator: Increases the Brewery’s output x4. Lasts 24 hours.
    • Granite Transformation: You can transform marble and presents to create granite in the Provision House.

    BUGFIXES
    • Small size modification of the mail window for localization reasons.
    • A bug that occured when using the help button was fixed.

    HALLOWEEN 2012
    • All quests related to Halloween have been removed
    • The Halloween category in the Shop has been removed
    • Night mode on all home islands has been deactivated

    • It's no longer possible to produce a very strong light, sun and darkness buffs in provision house
    • The Halloween loading screen has been switched back to the standard one
    DAILY GUILD QUESTS MODIFICATIONS
    • The new version of daily guild quests is available for all guilds that have more than 10 members
    • A new resource has been added to the game: guild coins
    • You can gather guild coins by completing daily guild quests (sub- and main-tasks)
    • Daily guild quests are splitted into different groups to match level of the player: 10-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45 and 45-50
    • The number of members in a guild will affect which guild quests you receive. The level ranges are: 10-20, 21-35, 36-55 and 56-100 members
    • The amount of guild coins received after finishing a quest(s) depends on player level and guild size
    • You can spend your guild coins to get new productivity buffs, refill buffs, adventure and a master geologist
    NEW QUESTS
    • 250 interesting quests, including campaigns with special rewards and their own story
    • Side quests which will give you resources
    • Side quests which will give you experience points
    • The tutorial adventure - Bounty Hunter - has been modified
    • New buff: Medipack. It recovers the general instantly (received after one of your generals have been wounded for the first time)
    NEW HELP SYSTEM
    • New help system includes graphical assets: flying reward icons and highlighter interface elements
    • New help windows will explain game features with pictures and detailed descriptions - they will be opened every time you use a feature/function for the first time
    • Added a help window archive where you can find detailed game information

    • New level-up window which shows up each time you level; it also shows you graphical feedback about new abilities

    • Medium search: if the explorer doesn't find an adventure, he will bring 6 map parts
    • Long search: if the explorer doesn't find an adventure, he will bring 9 map parts
    ECONOMY OVERVIEW MODIFICATIONS
    • Production indicators (arrows) have been fixed
    • Correct values are shown when the storage is completely full/empty
    TRADE WINDOW MODIFICATIONS
    • After accepting a trade offer, you are no longer moved to the first page
    • Sorting option has been improved
    • The default amount of goods when creating a trade offer has been changed from maximum to minimum
    • Checkbox next to "Deals player cannot afford" is unchecked by default
    • Thousand separator (comma) has been added.
    • It is now possible to pin and move the trade window
    • Refreshing the history tab has been improved
    CHAT INTERFACE MODIFICATIONS
    • Nicknames and messages are different colors now
    • The color of whispers has been modified

    • Music: Someone changed the background music as a trick! It's very spooky...
    • Graphics: The game decided to dress up in a costume for the occasion, including the logo and loading screen.

    NEW FEATURE: NEW TRADE SYSTEM

    • The Trading system was taken out of the chat and now has its own UI
    • You can now make multiple trades at the same time
    • Amount of tradable goods is now only limited by the player’s inventory
    • There is a detailed history tab that archives the last 20 trades
    • Players can now trade buffs, buildings, adventures etc. Everything except limited shop items and gems
    • Accepting trades now works instantly. There is no waiting and no mail.
    • There is now a filter option to search for particular item(s)
    • Players need to be listed as friends for at least 24 hours before you can trade via friend list. This is implemented to protect unexperienced players from "false friends". Guild members and old friends will be able to use the feature immediately.

    • Graphics: Added missing high level graphics for bowmaker and recycling plant
    • Locked zones: An issue that caused zone crashes is fixed now

    NEW FEATURES
    • Economy overview: There is a new button on your menu bar which opens the Economy Overview. The economy overview, once opened, shows a 12 hour prediction based on your current production. Additionally, it will show if there is a problem within the production chain.
    • Pre-combat feedback: There is a new option in the garrison which shows battle information, including what a battle may result in. For example, if you need more than one wave, a skull is shown. However, if it shows a crown, you conquer the sector by defeating the camp with no changes to your army.

    We have added two new buildings to the Settlers Online. The first building is the Gem Pit, which will produce 20,000 Gems over a six month period (Contains 40,000 Gems in total). The second is an endless copper mine that will produce copper without ever depleting. Both of these buildings can be found in the architect section of the shop.

    • If you're short on building licenses, the queue allows the correct amount of tasks instead of blocking further tasks too early

    1) New Questbook:

    The Quest overview has been redesigned! The following things will now be shown:

    • (Tutorial) Quests
    • Daily Quests
    • Active Adventures
    • Next Quests

    There will also be a smaller overview screen. You can select which Quests you would like to have shown there. This smaller overview screen will be moveable!

    The adventures are not in your friends list anymore, they can be found in your new Questbook and Quest overview! You can start and visit your Adventure maps through this interface.

    2) Daily Quests:

    The new Daily Quests are now available from Level 10 and up. Every day (24 hours) you will get a new Daily Quest that can be completed.
    You can only have one Quest in the queue. This means that 24 hours after starting the first Daily Quest, you can start the next one, but only if you have completed the previous one.

    Daily Quests are not automatically completed. To get the rewards you have to manually finish them in your Questbook!

    At this point we have 3 Daily Quests per level range. However, we will have a ton of new Daily Quests waiting for you at the start of next year!

    The level ranges for the Daily Quests are: 10 – 17, 18 – 25, 26 – 35, 36 – 50).

    3) Christmas Event:

    We introduced a new resource just for the Christmas event - Presents! You can exchange these in the Shop for new items. You can buy Presents in the Shop in the category Christmas. You will be rewarded handsomely with Presents when you successfully finish the new Daily Quests! With a bit of luck, your explorers will also bring back some Presents when on the treasure hunt.

    • The entire beer production, including beer as a resource will be renamed to “mulled wine” for the Christmas feeling.
    • The “mystery boxes” in the Shop (exchangeable for Presents) will have various surprise items for you.
    • The Provision house has a new feature which allows you to change your marble into granite. With the “granite transformer” you can transform 500 marble and 20 Presents into 50 granite.
    • A whole new Adventure – In the spirit of the season we have a special Adventure map with snow! You can only get this Adventure through the Daily Quests?

    4) The time for specialists can be cut in half!

    You can now decrease the search time of your specialists by half. When you click on a specialist who is on his way in the Star menu, you will see an overview where you can halve the search time. This can be used on the same specialist multiple times!

    5) Rewards that exceed your storage will now be put in the star menu.

    6) Adjustments to Adventures and Military Units

    Soldiers and Elite Soldiers are now set before the Bows and the Cavalry. The Cavalry is now also protected by all melee units, which means they are now not the first to be attacked.

    The reward for the Adventures were adjusted (mostly set higher)

    The experience points for the following units were increased: Pirate Captain, Bandit Cavalry, Bandit Recruit and Bandit Soldier.

    Because of that, the following Adventure rewards were increased:

    • Secluded Experiment
    • Island of the Pirates
    • Victor the Vicious
    • The Dark Priests

    Halloween Event Features

    (1) New Shop Items

    Every field has a limit (max. 3 of each type = 9 fields in total during this Halloween event). After 9 fields, you are not able to build anymore fields during this event. The fields do not require building licenses and do not appear in the Starmenu after being torn down. The fields can be paused and buffed. The explorer does not find any pumpkins on his hunt!
    Seeder

    Refills the wheat in a wheat field. The building can be upgraded and buffed. Every 12 minutes, one wheat will be added to the field (for a level 5 building it will be 5 corn units per 12 minutes). It does not refill empty fields and does not revive collapsed fields. It does not require any building licenses and is limited at buildings during this Halloween Event.
    Grimm Reaper General

    General with the same functions as the Master General. Regenerates 50% faster (2 hours) and travels 50% faster (15 minutes). Limited to one General per player.

    (2) New Buffs in the Provision House
    Darkness
    Can be produced for 5 pumpkins.
    Can only be used on production buildings belonging to players on your friends list. Production buildings include pumpkin cemeteries and wells (no wheat fields, barracks, provision house, residence, garrison).
    Production of targeted building will be STOPPED for 2 hours.
    The buff will be displayed through a graphic effect and distinguishes itself considerably from other (known) buffs.

    Light
    Can be produced for 5 pumpkins.
    Can only be used on your own productions buildings that are affected by the 'Darkness' buff. The 'Darkness' buff will disappear and production will be tripled for 1 hour.
    You can always use this 'dispel buff' if you have the person in your list and you can visit them.
    You cannot use this 'dispel buff' on buildings that are already buffed.


    When you use our scary new buffs, you will hear an evil laugh. Besides that, we have a different background music that fits the Halloween theme (which of course can be disabled).

    Daily Login Bonus (Level 5 and above)
    • For each day that you log in to the game, you receive a 'Bonus'.
    • This bonus gets bigger as the number of consecutive days that you log in increases. It is based off level and can consists of resources such as swords, settlers, buffs, exotic fruits etc.
    • If you log in 7 days in a row, you will receive 45 gems on the 7th day. If you miss one day, it starts over from the beginning.

    Hotkeys! As requested by the community, we implemented hotkeys for the buildings that are used most often, as well as some tweaks to improve the game experience:
    • With W, A, S and D or the arrow keys you can scroll
    • The numbers on the numpad let you jump to the sectors
    • with H you can jump to your city hall
    • with P you can jump to your Provision House
    • with B you can jump to your Barracks
    • Empty wells and wheat fields have new Graphics
    • Visitors’ avatars are only shown 15 seconds after their visit

    Game Changes
    • The provision house now produces stacks of goods/buffs. The slider defines how large the stack should be. The prices remain unchanged.
    • Buff stacks produced in the provision house can now be applied until the stack is depleted. The stack size is displayed on the mouse cursor during buffing.
    • Changed the loot tables of adventures. You now find more granite and tropical wood. The more advanced resources have been moved to medium and rare adventures.
    • Community Request: Due to your feedback, we set the trade cooldown to 10 minutes.
    • Community Request: Due to your feedback, we introduced 2 new buildings: medium wheatfield and deep well, which now contain 400 wheat and 1500 water respectively. You can find them in the build menu.
    • Battle reports from adventures are now labeled as such
    • Battle reports where the general was misled to another bandit camp are now labeled as such
    Shop Changes
    • The artisan well and the packed wheatfield now have new graphics to distinguish them from the other 2 versions.
    • The love potion now lasts 12 hours and doubles the population growth rate.
    • The improved drill plan now lasts 12 hours and halves recruitment time.
    • The refill of the iron diviner now has 750 content while keeping the price

    STAR COINS OFFER

    Many new items that can be acquired in exchange for Star Coins have been added to the game. You can find them in the "Epic Items" category.

    HALLOWEEN 2013 - REMOVAL PHASE 1&2
    • All quests related to the Halloween event were deactivated.
    • The shop category "Halloween" was deactivated.
    • Golems left the lakes on all home islands.
    • Collectible pumpkins will no longer appear on home islands.
    • It is no longer possible to produce Halloween buffs in a Provision House.
    • Remaining Golem buffs ("Bag of Marbles", "Ropes" and "Bucket of Water") can be converted back into resources by activating them on a Mayor's House.
    • Zombies on home islands were replaced with animals.
    • The background music was switched to the default one.
    • Several graphics were replaced with the standard ones.


    BUGFIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • Process responsible for updating status of guild quests has been improved.
    • It is no longer possible to initiate hired troops buffs activation on a home island.
    • Percentages related to building upgrades should be displayed correctly now.
    • Sometimes the crossed swords icon in battle reports was not shown properly.
    • In some cases a Friend trade option was not greyed out directly after adding a new friend.
    • Some graphics in the guild interface were not displayed correctly.
    • The graphic of "A Thousand Snowflakes" buff displayed in the Tavern has been corrected.
    • Sometimes the information displayed after a hired troops buff activation was not correct.
    • From time to time, the remaining amount of Hired Troops was not displayed properly.
    • In some cases the color of required Gems (amount) was not displayed correctly.
    • Bookbinder production is no longer reset after the building is upgraded or moved.
    • Small adjustments related to the Economy overview window.
    • The "Missing tools" quest should no longer cause issues.
    • Improvements related to daily quest mechanics.
    • The information shown after you click on a garrison of your friend (adventure) has been corrected.

    Please take note that this is a preliminary changelog and the final version may differ.

    GUILD RANKS

    Several new rights can be assigned to guild members, including:
    • Invite and kick other members
    • Write guild mails
    • Cancel guild quests

    GUILD INTERFACE RE-DESIGN
    The guild info window, which every player can open when searching for a guild, was re-designed.
    It now shows more specific information such as the guild leader, description and banner.

    BUGFIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • The buff "Country Saying" showed a wrong description in the mouseover popup when sold.
    • Quartermaster general doesn’t need a building license anymore.
    • Bookbinder books are now grayed-out when resources are missing.
    • It's no longer possible to place generals on blocked sectors in adventures by sending more generals than normally fit on the adventure map.
    • An info popup over the accept button in guild successor mails was fixed.
    • An info popup in battle reports was fixed.
    • Guild member certificates icon was different in the shop compared to the star menu item.
    • Guild expand button now directs to the guild member certificates instead of just opening the shop.
    • Sometimes the text in the shop header was not displayed correctly.
    • Building queue slot queue won't disappear anymore if a premium account is active or an additional slot was bought.
    • Star menu items were sometimes highlighted inconsistently.
    • An error could occurred when assigning skill points to the explorer and changing to another too quickly.
    • The sorting of "misc" category when selling something was fixed.
    • Declining a guild invitation of a deleted guild could lead to an error.
    • If adventure invites were accepted by 2 or more players at literally the same time, it could lead to an error.
    • Guild information popups that show up next to the avatar after expanding, leaving or inviting somebody to the guild had missing icons.

    Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

    The Christmas event has started, it introduced many features:
    * Event resource: Presents (tradable)
    * Christmas Surprise: A new feature that allows all players to collect many gifts
    * Adventures: Special adventures that provide useful rewards
    * Collections: New collectible items that can be converted into Presents
    * Christmas Daily Quests: Special Daily Quests will be running during the whole event
    * During the event, explorers can find Presents on standard treasure searches
    More details can be found in the developer's diary in official forums.

    BUGFIXES AND MODIFICATIONS:
    * Issue with a Bookbinder production time has been fixed.
    * Promotion window has been added to the game.
    * Issue with battle reports display was fixed.
    * Selecting a Quartermaster General on adventure maps could display a wrong text.
    * Reward adjustments for two Daily Guild Quests.
    * Icon representing collectible items on the level-up window has been adjusted.
    * It is no longer possible to buff a Fairytale Castle that is below the 5th upgrade level.
    * A few localization updates.

    Patch Notes 01/08

    Change log

    The Christmas event was deactivated:
    • Presents won't be found by Explorers anymore
    • Christmas Daily Quests were deactivated, Christmas quest chain was removed
    • The Christmas Surprise was deactivated
    • Collections: Collectible Christmas items were deactivated
    • The 3 day premium buff was removed
    • All Christmas-related graphics were removed; the loading screen was changed back to normal
    • The Christmas shop category was deactivated
    • Hot lemon tea was added to the shop (for gems)
    • Improved provision house was added to the shop (limited, for gems)
    • The adventures "More Secluded Experiments" and "Return to the Bandit Nest" are now part of the corresponding adventure's loot of "Secluded experiments" and "Bandit nest"

    BUG FIXES AND MODIFICATIONS:
    • Free building spots on the home island are displayed faster
    • A tutorial bug at level 5 (find a new stone deposit) was fixed

    BUG FIXES AND MODIFICATIONS
    • Clicking on a garrison immediately after moving will now open in the appropriate menu
    • Floating residences in construction lost the construction animation and are shown with the final graphic after a zone refresh
    • If there are more then 4 tasks in the barrack's queue, cancelling one of them will not force the list to reload. That way, accidentally hitting "instant complete" can be avoided.
    • The quest "Near the village" showed up with the wrong icon in the quest book
    • The "invite a friend" confirmation mail had a blank body text

    Dear Settlers,

    With the game version update that is planned for February 2014, several modifications affecting production chains will be implemented.
    More details about changes can be found below.
    • Withdraw of resources required for a production cycle
      Currently, required resources are consumed at the end of a production cycle. After the change takes place, resources will be withdrawn from a storehouse with the start of the production cycle.

    • Improvement of deposit-refilling process
      In case the max capacity of a deposit is not reached, the number of assigned re-filling workyards (e.g. foresters) will be calculated basing on amount of resource units that can be refilled. Example: If max capacity of a wood deposit is 25 and currently 24 units are already there, only one forester will be assigned to refill it.

    • Adding resources to a storehouse
      Resources will be added to a storehouse only if they completely fit into it. Example: If a workyard produces 5 units of hardwood planks and there is a space only for 3 additional hardwood planks in the storehouse, nothing will be added. Production of the respective workyard will be on hold until there is enough space in a storehouse to put the produced goods.

    • Workyard production after an upgrade
      When a workyard gets upgraded while a production cycle is running, after the upgrade is finished, it will create the "old" amount of goods. It already consumed resources required for a production chain (previous upgrade-level), hence it will produce corresponding amount of goods.

    • Assigning units to extract goods from deposits
      When a deposit is about to be depleted by a workyard (e.g. wood cutter), no other workyard will send a settler to extract goods from this deposit. They (other workyards) will search for other deposits instead. Settlers returning without goods will not occur anymore.
